I did some research and found out that my copy of jazz jackrabbit 2 is 1.00h. I heard it's rare and I'm interested, I have a few questions about it.

I got this copy with computer software, did everyone get it this way?

How was 1.00g obtained? is there just 1.00g and 1.00h as the OEM's?

why is it so rare, how many people have it?

I played through this version years ago, I had fun but did I miss out on anything?

Interesting stuff.

Cheers.

That seems to be how they were both distributed, yes. The only other known prototype is BETA 2 (1.10o) which I seem to recall was leaked by someone who got it from some fair or other. Not really sure anymore.

Well, it's not the retail version of the game, so anyone who legitimately purchased JJ2 isn't going to have it. That said, there are a lot of abandonware websites that put up 1.00g (or 1.00h?) when they mean to put up the full game, because nobody's told them any better.

You missed out on a level editor, a multiplayer mode, internet play, a secret level, two different weapons, a few bosses, and too many minor other things to list here.
