User Avatar Size Limit

What's with the 3 KB file size limit on the avatars. It makes our high quality stuff look blurry and undetailed. Terribly so.

I do agree 3KB is a little ridiculous, but for some advice I may recommend trying to save your avatar in the PNG format, which is usually smaller than JPEG avatars. JPEGs are usually only better for larger images that use a lot of colours (like photographs and pictures with several gradients).

It doesn't do any visible difference whether it would be 4KBor 400KB as long as it's 48x48. You should probably complain about that instead ;)

Yeah, the limit is kind of low, and it would make sense to change it. When/if I get around to it, I will do so.
