I am thinking for some time on continuation to JJ series. My game will be direct continuation to Jazz2 story and will be in full 3D TPP view.

NOTE THAT IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH UNRELEASED JAZZ3 PROJECT EXCEPT IT BEING 3D!

Now when we cleared that out, let's get to the business. For now I don't really have time to develop this (making other game ATM), but I'd like to gather interest and help with it. I'll probably do most of the coding, story, level design and probably some textures and voice acting too.

You got that right! I want it to be voice acted, at least for main characters (Jackrabbit/Earlong families, Devan), though if it won't work out, backup plan called "dialog boxes like in old jRPGs" is already there.

Note that, at the moment, none of engine is written yet, but it should be easy to write, as I'll use JMonkeyEngine which aside of easiness of writing stuff for it, provides also compatibility to all major operating systems as it is Java (and engine is well-written, so speed won't be issue here).

Of course, even though I will do the coding, I still need 3D modeler, animator and musician, because I suck at those three areas.

Whole project will be of course non-profit and code will be open-sourced. So, will you help me?

I would do the music but that would just be taking on too much (http://www.jazz2online.com/jcf/showthread.php?t=19244). I suppose I'm up for voice acting though? As long as it doesn't eat up too much time in real life, I'm expecting an increased workload next semester for my classes.

OK, I expect to get my game out in following month and then I will have time for writing game.

However I'll need modeler to make models (or more complicated ones - simple like 3D platforms I can do myself). At least I'll need Jazz model (I can't use one from Jazz 3 for obvious reasons).

Model will have to be done in Blender as I'm deving this game on Linux, plus my engine only allows OBJ and own binary format files. I'd like however source files in Blender's format as it'll easier for me and my animator to animate them.

Note that you'll have to use Blender 2.49 as exporter to engine's format is not updated for 2.5 or 2.6 releases of Blender (and it doesn't allow for animations to be saved in OBJ format).

I'm up to do music! Normally I'd be a bit wary of a project that just says "Let's make a new Jazz game" without anything to show for it, but you seem to know what you're talking about when it comes to the programming and graphics aspects.
