Heyya.

I was just putting the finishing touches on my final World of Jazz level, when I put it into the 1.23-ifyer and got this rather rude message:

"Level uses more tiles than allowed for 1.23 levels."

I checked a few things, and determined that the tileset I'm using should in fact be 1.23 (It's BlurredD's Desolation). I'm using Trigger Zones, but removing those from the level didn't seem to fix anything. I also removed all boss events from the level, but again, nothing. The level dimensions are 180x90, but I have larger levels than that in my pack, and they did not encounter the same problem.

I DO have a lot of animated tiles, so that might be a potential explanation.

Does anyone have any idea what might be causing my problem? I'm hoping to release World of Jazz within the first week or two of January, and everything but this one level should be good to go. I'd like to get this worked out and shipped to my betatesters for a final inspection as soon as possible before uploading.

Thanks!

How many animations do you exactly have? The maximum tile count is 1023 or 1024, can't remember which, for 1.23 (Same in 1.24: 4095/6). The tile amount is calculated by adding all tileset tiles (which, in this case, means rows * 8, because of tileset limits) and adding all animations, since a single animation counts as a single tile.

There are 48 unique animations, total.

Well Desolation has 980 tiles, so with 48 animated tiles you've got 1028, which is too much. Remove 4 or 5 of them, if you can, and that should hopefully fix it.

Just 4.
It's 1024 maximum for 1.23 and 4096 maximum for TSF, so remove 4 to allow it to work in 1.23. :)

Thanks, you guys! I'll give it a go, and see if that fixes it.
