Not really broken, but just not right:

http://www.jazz2online.com/news/989/cliffyb-has-moved-on/

htmlentities() is run twice on the page's <title> tag.

Judging by Gus's upload (http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads/7124/my-first-levels-with-angel-script/), average satisfaction counter is broken. Also, last time I checked, the plus-only check box was broken during uploading (but not during updating -- note that all plus-only uploads lately have been updated, most likely to mark as plus-only).

Thanks for letting me know! Will get on it asap.

Edit: JJ2+ marker fixed, added extra captcha to (hopefully) keep out spambots. Satisfaction field will have to wait a bit.

I should probably also mention the front page is broken for me, and that's for quite a while. It had happened before I wrote my previous post, I had just presumed it's not just me who can't access it so I wouldn't need to report. Here's what I see when I try:

<img src="http://img545.imageshack.us/img545/4804/defaultwebsite.png" title="Resized in html for convenience, follow to source to see in full size." width="683" height="360" />

And yeah, I followed "these instructions" but to no effect. The site I get redirected to is http://www.jazz2online.com/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi, if that's any useful.

I got the same problem as SE, but if i open www.jazz2online.com/index.php i do get the normal main page.

You probably need to clear your browser cache in addition to the DNS cache. Let me know if this doesn't solve the problem.

Don't even think about it! She PM'ed me first!

@Stijn: I had that too a week or 2 ago, but only on one PC. Clearing cache and possibly ipconfig /flushdns fixes it I assume.

http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads/upload/ gave me an error upon submission (don't remember what it was). The upload still appears in the downloads section, but the associated file is not uploaded. Editing uploads, including reuploading the files, works fine, so http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads/7217/battle12/ was missing battle1s2.zip for about one minute (see the upload description for why I don't remember much about the error).

http://www.jazz2online.com/wiki/?List_of_Useful_Party_Mode_DownloadsThis is the case for all of the supposedly external links on the wiki; they stay as internal links. This is at its most amusing on the syntax guide page. (http://www.jazz2online.com/wiki/ERE%3A_Wiki_Syntax)

Same problem, second time, not being solved by doing the steps. I think last time it got fixed thanks to stijn for doing some abra kadabra..

So flushing the DNS cache doesn't help?

No, i have done all these steps.

Maybe reboot your modem/router(s)? I figure the DNS could be stuck in there, too.

Stijn

It's a DNS problem probably, or at least I can't think of anything else, and seems to be something between you and whatever DNS server you're using rather than between you and J2O. So I'm afraid there's little we can do to help it. Suggestions like Jerry's are more likely to help.

randomly fixed about 3 days ago.. haven't touched anything myself.. so maybe it's something changed on your end?

Jerrythabest
Aug 8, 2013, 10:53 AM
Unless Stijn did something magically, I expect it's definitely your DNS cache renewing. Even the most stubborn router renews its DNS cache every once in a while for this very reason.

Stijn
Aug 8, 2013, 11:44 AM
Nope, nothing changed here. As Jerry said, probably somewhere down the line someone or something finally decided to update their DNS cache.

Dr. Eggman (http://www.jazz2online.com/user/3581/dr-eggman/) has removed his sonic test from j2o (it was available untill 2012 or something? (On my previous PC I downloaded it in ~2008)). Does anybody know further information?

Well, the URL of original file is still findable http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads/5102/sonic-test/, via "sonic test" (http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads/search/sonic-test/) phrase.

Stijn

I'm afraid that means Dr Eggman deleted the file.

Yeah I still have them on another PC. I wonder why he removed it. It's nice levels.
