Dear jcf users.
I have been away for a while due to some irl problems... Hopefully everything is OK again so some months ago I decided to come back playing JJ2 (not competitively)

I'm happy to announce my new JJ2 related project:

I think QA is the best to explain everything :)
Q: What is OpenServer?
A: Its an idea for JJ2 servers to be open, open for everybody. I plan free JJ2 servers giveaway over the summer.

Q: Cool so what do I need to do to?
A: Take part in level making contest (hotel, battle, ctf, test, whatever). Every week (or mby 2..) I will pick some 2-3 competitors who will get server for free for 1(or mby 2 weeks).

Q: What can I host?
A: You will be given address to special Admin Panel as well as FTP access to your server. You can upload whatever map you like.

Q: Cool... any other news?
A: Yeah. I plan to host OpenServer Games - something like ZD for players in central/east Europe - they will get lower pings because host will be based in Poland, Poznan.

Q: How many server can you handle?
A: I think 4-5 so I will have space for 1 special server so if you want host special event you can always contact me.:-)

Q: When will OpenServer close operations?
A: Around 5th September. ;-)

Q: Credits for level are mine?
A: Ofc. You created level so its 100% yours.

I Expected OpenServer would be a JJ2 clone server software.

Not exactly however...
I'll pack all the scipts into a .deb archive to let Ubuntu/Debian users install it easily using apt-get. Ofc I will write short HowTo how to connect everything together.

If you are really talked installers to run "JJ2 via Wine" installers, i am already killed.
I Got annoyed about crashing after usually cycling levels.
