But seriously though, last month I made another Arcade Stick controller which required making button holes exactly 30mm wide. Since I didn't have the appropriate cone drill I used the good old vile method. I knew 45 minutes of scraping was going to be tiresome, but not that it would cause a sore arm through the next day. :o

And wogh, great to see you got the paint job right and the mechanic working! :)

Sorry about koreans. just ignore it.

At first, it have a bit different with my project and not related about it.
Because this modeling are designed by Jazz's gun(and for my killing time.;)), but my project was remodeled for substantial operation.
In other word, I've redesign it for project such as front&rear sight, magazine catch, etc.. Why?

from Firearms perspective, there is some errors on it. for example,

1.Foresight is too low to aim.
2.There is no magazine.(←I'd like to more think about it. because LFG-2000 will operated by batteries instead magazine&ammo. well, just my opinion.)
3.Rear sight is not exist.
4.No flash hider or muzzle break.←well actually, this is optional part.

Even if it doesn't matter that without the magazine and muzzle brake, but without sights, it is true that a gun is virtually meaningless.

So, I've add the rear sight on the top, changed the position of the top of foresight. also, Fore grip is replaced to magazine follower.

As a result, designs were changed like this.

Comparing with the two guns, you can see they are slightly different.

P.S. Anyway, this project's progress is very slow.. Maybe it'll be completed on summer vacation..(I'm very sorry about that:( just be wait..)

I customize the design of LFG-2000 to LFG-2200 :)

Well, it doesn't help to improve the gameplay and just my imaginary weapon. but I think it seems more futural than before.
(Jazz will love it!:lol:)

Custom details are like this.

1. Add EOTech Rearsight & More detailed frontsight.
2. 4 sides RIS(Rail Interface System) mounted on front body.
3. Relocated to the center of the main buttons & status screen.
4. Add stock & butt plate.
5. Relocated to the grip of the foregrip.

I think that this is the most optimal design. at least, it looks like gun rather than before!
what do you think about this gun? Better or not?

At first time, my original plan was using the plastic gearbox for boys(age of 14 or older).
but in korea, the power of the airgun's regulatory is only 0.14J!..(in other word, that is very very weak. never hurt even hit on the face.)
you can't guess that how is it so weak. to tell the truth, it can't make any holes or even scratches on the box!

Do you want know about fire range? just awesome.
Bullets doesn't fly 10 meters out. that is the limit. so funny right? how to targeting with this?

Fire rate? that's also fantastic.
It can fire 4 bullets per second(240/min) with full automatic fire.
maybe you'll 'hey, I think that is not so slow :P'..

Although, that is for adult, and very expensive(almost same price the new computer.) but look at the fire rate.. it's almost 17/s!

In conclusion, I want to say is, 'Korea's Airsoftgun is just a shit!'
So?.. I remove it and throw it away from the project.(IDIOT GEARBOX! GET LOST!)

And then I find something very profit for this poor gun..

this was my M4A1 AEG(Airsoft Electric Gun).

As you can see, the upper body was.. broken.. Sadly.. :(
But fortunately, I have a barrel of it, no problem on gearbox, and the problem is just only upper body's connection link is broken.
And also, as you can see, that gearbox is consists of metals. and version is for adult!(As an aside, I upgrade it before such as motor, piston, mainspring, etc.. so it have a quite high performance.)


So, I'll make this gearbox can be ported on this gun :D
In other word, I changed the plan! that's all!

(M4A1 lower body with LFG-2000 upper body.. wow..what a nice combination XD)

That redesign looks too complex, it's probably the amount of ridges. It would be a pain to animate all those details (and which to take off, resulting in inconsistency) in 2D.

I don't think guns in the JJ universe aim to be realistic, and are relatively simple. I can understand you don't want it to just look like a giant pen gun, though be careful with the amount of details when redesigning.

I mean...are Spaz and Lori's guns even based off a real existing gun?

KIND OF... Lori's is very similar to this Nerf Disc Shooter:

Spaz's on the other hand is basically a recolor of Earthworm Jim's gun which basically means drugtrips were likely the only inspiration

These photos are example of real guns RIS.

RIS is one of gun's optional mount attachment, not essential part. so if it doesn't needed, we can removed it very easily.(Oh, I didn't draw the rail screws on it..)

I mean, They don't need to try to represent this part. and even also, I know that it would be very hard to animate all those details on 2D. but what about 3D?(for example, JJ3. <- Although, this game's developing seems stopped..) maybe they able to represent it.

Inner barrel is too long! or, main body is too short!

I have a saw for cutting it exactly, but if I cut this barrel, not only it's very hard work but also fire range and accuracy will decreased.
So, cutting the barrel is very silly choice. it does that mean, I must make the main body.. again!..

I bought a old gun(it was made in 1993. wow. older than JJ1(1994)!..) with very cheap price!
This gun also have a metal gearbox! Yay!

However.. the outside is.. not so good..(body screws are almost lost, so that's why it was so cheap :p)

At first of the project, I should to upgrade and cleaning work to this gearbox. so I open it. (this is what I always did so. :p)

Piston.. one of very important part for shooting.(basically, almost of airsoft gun's operation are simple - store the air in to the cylinder, and compress it to piston.)
Upper one(white piston) is original piston, and lower one(orange piston) is optional piston which I was bought.

Zoom of the original piston's teeth. maybe you can't see properly, but last tooth is almost.. done.(and second,third teeth are broken.)
In other word, this piston is may not work properly.
Now!.. it's time to upgrade!..

(according to my experience.. old grease is much harmful rather than non-grease..)

Surely, this metal teeth-piston is much durable than plastic one. 8D

Next, checking about the gears.. hmm..I think those are no need to repair or replace.
But of course, those are need to cleaning. no exception! :p (picture is after cleaning work.)

So, upgrade and cleaning work is finished.
but one thing is left..

The maintenance.

This is the grease for AEG.

They're seems nothing special, but they're slightly different depending on the use.(viscosity, fluidity, cleanliness...)
Brown one is for gears, and white one is for piston & cylinder.

This is one of the example that how to use it.
Just simple. rub it evenly in between the teeth of gears, rack, all of friction surfaces.

And.. assembling the gearbox..
this is little bit annoying(because the mainspring is rampage while assembling.) but it's the most rewarding job. :D

Ah, you mean the power(Power=Velocity).

Yes. in korea, 0.14J is the limit for boys(14 or over).
and.. this gun is for adults(older than 20). so velocity limit is set to 0.2J.(..slightly different but I couldn't find the difference :( it never hurt.. - in Japan, Taiwan, US(some states), Maximum limit is 1.0J. damn.. and even, I heard that Hong-kong and China is doesn't have any limits of that.)

But anyway, there is no limits of the fire rate. that's enough. :)

I attach one more body plate to the main body(for improving the durability)and reinforced it with ceracot.
Although, it was required a lot of time, but it'd be durable rather than before. :p

It makes me a bit confusing.. if I make it to fit that size, it'll be really big or unbalanced.

Therefore, It's almost impossible to fit the actual size.

also some wood, MDF, some plastic parts, griddle, even wooden chopsticks, Everything could be great material!

the manual's illustrations..

I already have a basic script for it, however I can't draw it with drawing programs(for example - photoshop) surely I have a program and I know how to use it, sadly!..I don't have tablet!!
Soooo..it is same as 'have a licence and car but don't have a carkey.' As you know.. drawing something with common mouse to computer is really hard :(:(

So! Anybody here who can help me? (I mean, anybody who have a tablet and do well of drawing?) Just simple - I'll send my drawings to you, and you just draw the outline of my drawings and send it to me again!

A graphics tablet doesn't magically give you good drawings. At least it didn't for me, as I do a lot of digital artwork with the mouse. The main reason I do is my tablet is unresponsive and I'd have to faff around with it to make it work (take out its insides and clean it).

2. Use this gun with wearing special protective goggles or face mask in order to protect your eyes.

@Louis K - If you scan your line art, you can get some decent results coloring it with just the mouse.

Yup. this is based on X operation, and I changed some weapons skins to LFG-2000(Jazz's blue big gun!)

Next time, I'll change the persons skins to rabbit skins!(heheheh.. coming soon!)

Hmm.. much better but..
it requires too many time!..(because my mouse is really stupid. my mouse can click 'automatically' over than 12 times in 1 sec. but I have only 3 days!.. :( but 11 illustrations are left!.. I can't draw it within time!..)

Meh.. just my guess, I can't finish this manual making within time if I draw like this. so.. I'll upload the reviews about my project without manuals.

yeah.. I know that almost manuals are printed to grayscale or black and white. so I was just want to something different.
but anyway.. it was too late to finish it within time now. :|

I know nothing about Blender, but I used Milkshape (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MilkShape_3D) for modeling at this time.
Also, I can recommend to you Metasequoia (https://www.google.co.kr/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#newwindow=1&q=metasequoia%204) for another 3D modeling program.
(according my experience.. metasequoia have more functions than milkshape, but it mean that is much complex to use it well.. the choice is yours. :p)

this one is NI-MH(Nickel–Metal hydride), and each cell is 1.2v. so totally, this one is 8.4v.(one of very popular voltage I think.)

About JJ3DX..

This game isn't individual program. It is based on one of famous low quality single fps game - X operation.
this project is just changing some skins and weapons specs to JJ style. I'll upload this game file to futher game development forum with beta version(of course at first.. alpha version or another versions will released after bugs fixed or updated I think :l ).

and this is the work that remains which I have to do.

Ahh.. good idea, but sadly that is impossible :P
because arms and legs are common part(for example, arm00 file is no weapon position, arm01 file is rifle handle position.. and so on), not the individual parts. so if I modify arms or legs parts, all of characters that parts will changed. that's why it's impossible.

and.. actually I meant that advice to me about her face design, not her body design exactly;; hmm.. still I'm seriously confused about it :drugs:
