That day was coming..

JJ3DX project finally finished!

This game is converted version of 'X operations' - one of the well-known fps game.
so this game's system itself is same as originad game, but skins of charactors are..Jazz Jackrabbit theme!
Exterminate the enemies.. Release the prisoner.. Defend or Kill the target.. or Capture the Flag!(of course, not same as CTF in JJ2)

You can add some of custom maps - addon maps - to single play!

Version patch or Game reviews, or Addon maps will uploaded or updated soon.

-Weapon bug was found from Multi mode.. Maybe it need a lot of time to fix it, so it removed from files now. :( sorry..I'll fix it soon someday..
-Some of another script problem from single mode are modified.

I already know that Zeta is just sixth character of the greek alphabet.
(and actually, there is nowhere named 'Zeta version' in real products or programs.)

then why Zeta?

even I don't know. XD I only can saying - it just my feeling.
(actually, this new version was named 'Alpha' version before but sadly, it was deleted by critical error :( and so this version is 'backup file' of that and much updated version.)

But yeah, still, this version also test version as beta was. so when testing is done and released, it'll be named such as 1.01,1.21 and so on.

Well.. maybe not

Beta version - Single play only.
Zeta version - Single, Multi play available.

And basically, they are support different version of Xops.
Beta version is supported by 0.96t, another one is supported by 0.97ft.

(Anyway, zeta is not a backup of beta. Those are slightly different.)

Minecraft was a good game back in the day, but now everywhere I go there must be a little kid to ask me "Hey, do you want to play Minecraft with me? :)". It became an obsession for the little kids from everwhere. Also the parodies and all those stuff are awful, as the music videos are. No, just no.

I already know how awful it is, but this 'weapon' is just one of my plan.

My plan is this - search some of 'Distinctive weapons' from other games and combine it to this game. For example, 'Portal - portal device' as you saw.
That TNT also some of pretty good distinctive weapon, So that's why I add that.

P.S.
This is some weapons that I'll add.(of course, It also some of example.)

Metal gear solid 2 - Ms.Fortune's Railgun
Dead Space - Plasma weapons
Metal slug - Marco's Rifle(Heavy machinegun, Rocket launcher, Shotgun.. whatever he picked up, he always use same rifle :P)

And so on, and so on...

P.P.S. Oh and if you have an ideas or recommands, please let me know.
I'll apply your opinion if it is possible.(But.. knife, sword, or any melee weapons would be rejected ;P sorry)

Ubersaw is melee weapon, not shooting weapon.

You didn't get the point. the point is I mean I'm looking for some Representative weapons exactly.

Your recommends are good. But the problem is that opinion would be too 'personal'.
think about it - if I choose a gun, is that weapon representing the whole TF2 weapons? And users will think so?

I'm not sure but I don't think so. and even you may not think so too.

As I said before, TF2 have a lot of strange weapons, but there are no distinctive weapon.(you will realize what does it mean if you think about it one more time.)
And it does mean there are no representing weapon too.

You added Portal Gun, TNT from Minecraft and lots and lots of CS-like weapons. Jeez.

If you want something representative, choose Soda Popper, Rainblower, Natascha, Sandwich, Syringe Gun, Ambassador, etc. There are many weapons which are known for non-TF2 players too, and these are some of them.

I don't understand why do you want to add only representative weapons tho.

Because only 20 weapons can use in this game.
so I can't apply all of TF2 guns to here.

just my guess at least, more than 100 weapons are there.(and converting all of them would be very.. very hard work. even you don't help me, do you?) and if I apply all of them, that would be 'TF2 weapon gallery with jazz jackrabbit'.
that's why I use only representative weapon.

(apply one weapon per each game. so totally, 20 weapons from each 20 games. - this is my Conviction.)

P.S. I don't know what is CS-like weapons. maybe because I'm asian

If i understood correctly, you asked if these weapons are from counter strike?
No, they aren't.
The portal gun is the main weapon in the game Portal(i think it's called portal.)
And minecraft tnt is from minecraft? :X

Why would it be OP? In TF2 it isn't. You're vulnerable while eating the sandwich and it takes a while to regenerate. I mostly use it (in TF2) for healing the dying teammates.

Oh my god, I cannot believe how dumb I was! I just realised that the TF2 Sandwich is actually called "Sandvich"! Oh dude, I've been playing this game since the last year and I didn't realise that! ._.

If you want to add the actual sandwich and not a white box, you can download it here: http://tf2.gamebanana.com/skins/108608 - I am not sure if it's just the texture or also contains the models. If it's just a texture, then the model should be somewhere inside the TF2 files.

I already tried, but those are from same game. in other words, it's duplicated weapon.

So my final choice is - the portal device.
Turret is also such a cool weapon, but the portal device is more represent the game 'Portal'.

Put the eyes lower (sitting on the muzzle) and widen the muzzle and cheeks a little, and the face will look better.

Also the fur sticking out looks..odd. If you want to go for chest fur, the better thing to do is make a texture.

and it's just my provisional model haha. as you can see his backpack is missed.

It looks fantastic, but I think Jazz is smaller than the model he's doing. Wasn't its height mentioned in the JJ1 guide thingy?

I already know about that, but it's impossible to modify the scale of body.
Because if I modify that scale, then I must modify the legs scale and arms scale too.

that is not problem.
however, the real problem is 'Rotation Axis' also must be modified but it doesn't modified. so after modifying their scale and run it, it looks good when they nothing to do. but when they moving, shooting or any activities they do, It would be really looks strange.

That's why me and PotaDOS didn't change the scale. :P sorry.

I don't think so. You could "smooth it up", fix it a little bit and call it new!

Louis is already making a game with characters he doesn't own. But it's a fan game.
So using the JJ3 model is not illegal i guess.

Legally speaking, it's probably questionable.

In reality, though, it doesn't really matter. Noogy is hardly going to sue you for using his Jazz model for a fangame.

Yep, I preffer looking at Spaz's booty from the original concept than at his tail, which doesn't really match him.

Ok we need to talk about the Selection of the characters to JJ3DX.
Especially, the body design.

As you know, we've changed the body modeling and texture by JJ3D style. It looks nice but there is no compatibility among the new one and old one(original JJ3DX model files). In other word, we should create not only lori's texture but also her model file.
Create all of them is not a problem, but if we did, it'd be really looks heterogeneous.(because we can't follow Noogy's style perfectly. Sorry we are not an artist.)

So we thought 'what about create the new body design such as robot or something special things?' and we've made some plans.

1.Create the Rabbit Android body(according the story of JJ3DX, maybe it'd be created by Devan and for teasing the Jazz.) instead Lori.

2.Create the Jazz with Heavy armor(or armed vehicle. then the legs will be hidden.)instead Lori.

3.Any other good suggestions

4.Shut up and make the Lori. Now.

Please leave your opinion.

P.S. this is what we've finished.

Body
up0 - Jazz body
up1 - Jazz body with glasses
up2 - Spaz body
up3 - Police style Jazz body
up4 - N/A(this is what we have to replace)
up5 - Devan body(or turtles)
up6 - Jazz body with ACU

9 weapons complete, 10 weapons remain

Maps
2 maps and 4 missions complete, 1 map and 2 missions on testing, 15 maps and 49 missions remain

Haha, I'm definitely still interested in JJ3DX. I'd suggest option 1 or 4.

As you know, I'm no artist either, nor am I so critical on Lori's body design. Some would obviously disagree with this, but I believe a model based on Jazz's body design with slight modifications and Lori texturing is a good enough representation of Lori! :)

Well Spaz's originaly thought of as a goofy looking red Jazz...
So the Lori stuff PROBABLY wouldn't be that hard.
But idk how hard it is to make a model for a game so i will shut up.
Also if you're seriously going to do a modified Jazz for Lori, is there a way to make her look um, less manly?
I'm not that big of a Lori fan so I guess I'll just let you guys do your work how you want to.

The game might not look bad, but I don't understand why you guys are focusing on adding realistic stuff. I mean, this is not "jazzy" at all! Jazz Jackrabbit is and will always be a cartony game. Sorry for sharing my possibly wrong oppinion, but if you really want to convince people playing it, why not try adding stuff matching with the characters? If this turns out as a shooter like CS but with rabbits, then what a shame. I realise that Louis likes weapons (a lot), but where's the "Jazz Jackrabbit" charm the game is supposed to have? I'm sorry guys, but I don't want this to be another boring colorless shooter.

Hey, this can be a new sequel for Jazz! The missions, the story and the characters are from jj, only the weapons and settings are realistic! I think this game is a really great project! :)

It's just Call of Booty but with rabbits.

The size of formal zip file is too big, and more, Updated version is much bigger.(almost more than 3GB)

So if you really want to download this game, you may have to waiting until last update is completed. sorry.

At the first time when I upload it(2 years ago maybe), it does work. But recently I checked, some of computers are still does work, and other computers are corrupted like as you said.
Even I don't know why is it corrupted, and sadly, I can't update it now because I'm active duty in korea army.

So.. maybe this problem could be solved when after I discharged.

Well.. I don't know what you are looking for exactly but I didn't granted the copyright on the 3D model of 'Jackrabbit' and 'Turtle'. So, I don't care what you use for actually.(but firearms models are from various 3D games. so if you looking for them, I'm not sure you may use them freely.)

The model of Jazz is separated to arms, legs, torso with head. so if you want complete model of it, you may have to combine all three parts of model.

the file is located in this route.

JJ3DX - data - model - up0.x(DirectX 3D file perhaps)
JJ3DX - data - model - arm0.x
JJ3DX - data - model - leg.x

lack of folder model so i guess winrar/winzip is thinking that your current update is missing or corrupted.It's even no way to play your fangame before you gonna update your fangame for a next time
