You guys 1) don't want to see any progress on Jazz Jackrabbit, 2) want people to rate wastes of harddisk 10 and give it a download recommendation, 3) haven't uploaded a decent level/tileset/whatnot since Agama's Egypt, 4) do NOT daydream about new, ultramodern Jazz Jackrabbit games and 5) deleted this post before anyone could even read it.

new, ultramodern Jazz Jackrabbit gamesAll the sprites shall be sized at least the double of how they currently are, and redrawn from nothing.

Deluxe Paint 5 or something better shall be used for tilesets. (Nick used an earlier version of Deluxe Paint)

All tileset makers on J2O will work on tilesets, but somebody skilled as Agama will re-draw upon the tiles.

Layers 3 and 4 will be both used for sprite layers, and divided into 3 sublayers: 3- (SFG), 3, 3+(SBG), 4-, 4, 4+

Every single background layer will have an image of its, each at least as large as the screen's resolution.

Tiles will be at least 64x64 pixels large, and the minimal resolution will be 640x480.

Some professional sample creating software will be used to create samples before the musics are created.

Each tileset will be 16 or 32 bit colors, instead of the usual 8.<!>

The 'Jazz Jackrabbit website' has been down since the start of this millennia. This site and their community is doing more awesome than ever these past few years. JJ2+ skyrocketed the amount of fixes and features (with probably the biggest update still on it's way), and a decent amount of quality downloads released. Currently, the latest downloads list has indeed some unsupported ratings that should either be removed or adjusted, but that's by no means a representation of the amount and overall quality of newer downloads.

It's only natural that less levels and tilesets are being made while the game ages. JJ2's community is doing surprisingly well considering it's a 1998 game.

Slaz's reply is spot-on. I really shouldn't reply to this, but it's so tempting...

1) don't want to see any progress on Jazz Jackrabbit
JJ2+
2) want people to rate wastes of harddisk 10 and give it a download recommendation
Don't be silly
3) haven't uploaded a decent level/tileset/whatnot since Agama's Egypt
This is not true (and what if it is? Go make something better if you think that's a problem)
4) do NOT daydream about new, ultramodern Jazz Jackrabbit games
So what?
5) deleted this post before anyone could even read it.

Daydreaming means nothing if it won't happen. Sometimes I daydream about it myself but I don't see the point if I'm yet incapable and make everyone else do the work for me. Unpaid projects usually die. I'd rather make a game that could earn me money (then I dream of buying the rights of Jazz, but I doubt that'll happen).

I know there are a lot of overrated downloads. I either haven't got to downloading them myself or wanting to make a detailed review. Many of the reasonable reviewers don't review anymore (or barely), so were left with ones who don't know how to rate that give a 5 or a 10.

I don't get where you get the idea of "haters". Indifference =/= hate.

JJ2+ isn't dead, btw.

I'm sure the entire community (including me) dreams of a new Jazz Jackrabbit game that's not dissapointing like the crappy JJadvanced was.

could you just stop posting this kind of pointless shit already

people here are actually trying to do something worthwhile (including the things you mentioned) instead of coming around just to spew acid once in a while

Yes, I know it should be "Your" instead of "You're"; I didn't make it.

the year is 2036
the only posts allowed on the JCF are the ones that say they will be deleted
all others are deleted instantaneously
and every member sees the posts and sees how they are not deleted and laughs
thinking sure, my posts all get deleted
but obviously I'm the only one

Anyway, Dennis, you shouldn't post when you're in this kind of mood -- you'll regret it later.
