As you may or may not know, Tapatalk (https://tapatalk.com/activate_tapatalk.php) is a 'forum reader' app for mobile systems, aiming to centralize and integrate forum conversations from multiple web forums into your device.

I use and like this app especially for the ability to check followed threads across multiple forums all from one screen in my pocket. And I believe it would be great to add the JCF to the list as well!

The only requirement is the installation of their API through a vBulletin plugin, one which they say is pretty lightweight. Another plus is that it enables JCF in their forum directory, which is basically free publicity in some way. ;-)

Well, maybe I'm the only member here using Tapatalk, but it's just something to consider, so might as well suggest it right. :D

I'll second that request. Tapatalk comes in really handy on mobile devices as a quick way to catch up on forums... I will say I don't care for how they try to push you to sign up for a tapatalk profile or to log in with facebook or Google+, though. Completely uneccessary.

Tapatalk works fine with just your normal forum credentials, but you have wrestle with it a little bit to do so. More so with their latest update, that is.

I installed the plugin. Let me know if it works for you.

Hmm, it seems to work but it's somehow using my Tapatalk ID as a new standard user account, while it should ask for my JCF credentials instead?

In other words, I think it's a good practice to look at this: https://blog.tapatalk.com/knowledgebase/how-do-i-turn-off-in-app-registration-for-my-forum/

As I don't think such automatic registrations are generally a good idea. Other than that, browsing the forums and subscribing to threads works fine! ;)

Oh nice! Login, browsing, replying, and subscribing all works fine now. Thanks for helping to make my mobile life even easier. ;)
