When I am on a server on JJ2+ v4.1 I sometimes get 999+ms, and it happens from when I installed windows 8.1, even when I host a server, the friend got 999+ms and I think it's from me, then he can't join because of Pinging, I don't know why it happens, but I need help! Please! :)

It won't fix your problem, but update to 4.3.

Oh wait... I think I am on 4.3, but I wasn't looking at the version when I posted this, but to be more clear, I got the version from 30 October 2013

Read through the thread Cooba linked. For a quick hint, try to always use windowed mode while hosting on 8(.1) for now. If you're playing fullscreen, hosting or not, never switch in or out of fullscreen while playing or you'll lose connection!

This seems to be fixed on Windows 10.

Also: the latest JJ2+ version is now 5.3, not 4.3, in case anybody new comes onto this thread

What are you talkin about? I am still getting CTO after switching from Window to Fullscreen or vice versa.

This is also fixed for me, I'm on the recently released anniversary update (Build 14393.51).

May I know what your brand of graphics adapter is?

Also, the laptop I bought last year primarily for work only has the integrated Intel HD Graphics 5-something, which to my surprise supported all WDM overlays while fullscreen in JJ2 (think Skype notifications and volume slider, etc) and didn't require the ddraw.dll patch.
