Hopefully, they'll be sued, which will remind the copyright holders their IP's worth.
Fun fact: Jazz Jackrabbit 2 was the first game I've ever owned, bought to me by my Dutch grandparent.

First I thought you were linking the GamerGeeks on NPO.
Copyrights?
That is not a problem, NPO pays for this :)

I wonder how many people beside us actually know that it's a track from Jazz Jackrabbit 2...

Probably very little. I wonder if Lubach himself played JJ2 and selected the track?

My theory was that Nando Eweg, who did JJ2's sound design and now works in sound production for film and tv (http://soundslikefilm.com/#/gallery/sounds/Nando%20Eweg), was involved in this show's production, but that might be a bit too far-fetched. He probably wasn't involved in JJ2's development very deeply and his agency seems to be working for advertisement and film rather than tv.

He's not.
This is not the first time game music is used as a theme or background track. Halo, CoD even Red Alert soundtrack has been appearing in TV shows. It's just our gamers recognize it.

Sure, but Halo, CoD and Red Alert's soundtracks are a lot more high-profile than JJ2's.

Just to put things in perspective.
I'm pretty sure that less then 1% that has played JJ2 has commented on this site :)
