This the moment all you JCSers and JCS enthusiasts have been waiting for - your chance to vote for your favourite uploads from the past year!

You must read the rules before voting. They are as follows:

1) You are allowed to vote for one level/person for each category, no more. You can abstain from voting in particular categories if you wish.
2) You are not limited to voting within the nominations, but you are advised to at least check these levels if you haven't already, in order to make your vote fair. Also, please provide a download link to these levels - unreleased/unfinished levels cannot be voted for.
3) Votes are to be kept private. This is to raise the tension, and also to prevent bandwagoning. In order to vote, post your votes here and then delete the post after you have posted it, and a moderator will undelete it after the deadline. Alternatively, if you prefer, you are allowed to PM them to Stijn, but bare in mind that your choices will be announced in public once the voting stage is over.
4) Anyone who does not follow rules 1 and 3; your votes will be null and void.

Best Battle of 2015: Special Edition HA! (Horizon Approaching by Sir Ementaler) - The deciding factor for me is the level's broad appeal, rather than a level specialized to certain game-modes or duels. The other levels in this category are still cool in my opinion, so it's not a vote against any of the other nominees!

Best CTF of 2015: Forgotten Civilization by Purplejazz. In terms of game-play, I think this is the most solid level of the bunch, and I don't think the theme and eye-candy disappoint either. Coagulation and PBA2K15 were the hardest to judge on my list, and I had issues with the sparse power-up placement in Coagulation and hard-to-reach places in PBA2K15 (You like semi, BR?). PBA2K15 has, in my opinion, the most impressive theme of any jj2 ctf level though. The other levels in this category have things that put me off, like the triggered paths in candlelight castle and certain spring placements in sacrosanct, but they are still mostly solid levels in my opinion.

Best Level Script of 2015: Jazzopoly. At first, I was going to vote for dilapidation, but I think the usage of angelscript in jazzopoly is more considerable. I'm not a huge fan of monopoly, but I like jazzopoly enough to vote it as the best script of 2015. I still acknowledge the other nominees, like Violet's test.

Best JCSer of 2015: Purplejazz. This category is the easiest for me, since he made a lot of very solid levels that year, some are still unfinished/nearly finished. It's too bad he didn't release his pack on time. I acknowledged a Loon win for best JCSer of 2015, and I almost voted for him. Treylina released a lot of updated older levels, and I like them, but I want new stuff. Besides Shadow, the other nominees only have 2 uploads. Speaking of Shadow, I think he and ML had a strong year. It's too bad we don't have "Best Level Group of (year)".

I don't want to vote in the other categories, because I don't have very strong opinions on their nominees.

Skulg's tile-set is cool in my opinion, but I think it has flaws, like the shines on the blood vessels etc, and I'm not sure if I'd ever use it. It's a very cartoony set, which is appropriate for jj2, but I'm not sure what to think of the eyeballs in a brain, unless it's in an abstract dream sort of level.

Due to the time left to vote and some levels from Lost Ages v2.0 being harder than expected, I have to say that I played only about 70 percent of that episode while casting these votes. However, I can safely assume that the rest of it is of similar or even better quality.

Best Battle Level: Horizon Approaching - Sir Ementaler - the other levels are very good, especially Dilapidation and Valhalla, but HA is a trend setter for Battle levels. Battle levels should have more PUs than just 3/4 and this level shows how fun it can be. Maybe the amount of PUs and carrots is a bit too high but in events this level is really fun.

Best CTF Level: Coagulation (ab17ctf07) - Loon - a very big symmetrical level that has really good EC and good gameplay. Nightwalker and Electric Express are also very good and Pinball Arena 2k15 has the best EC I've seen in a while, but Coagulation is more the total package for me.

Best other MP level: Jazzopoly - Superjazz/CJ - a really fun concept that reminds me of the old Monopoly but now with script.

Best Tileset: Organic - Skulg - although it was just a small version of the tileset it's pretty good. I wouldn't use it because I don't think I can do anything decent with it, but it's definitely the best tileset for me.

Best JCSer: PurpleJazz - Dilapidation, Electric Express, Forgotten Civilisation, Nightwalker - maybe a surprise because I didn't vote for a PJ level, but I think overall his levels had the highest quality. 4 levels in a year is pretty good as well.

Most Improved JCSer: Sir Ementaler - HA and FHS are pretty fun event levels. These 2 levels are definitely better than SE's previous MP levels.

Fortunately I'm a very patient man. I'll just wait for it, but doesn't change how excited I am, why wouldn't I be? Those awards are great.

Treylina released a lot of updated older levels, and I like them, but I want new stuff.

The only updated older level is Dissarrayed Memories. The rest were released in 2015 and updated. The inner perfectionist in me does that.

But I think I'm done updating my old levels. However, I have an increasing urge to tweak some layout in Take off and away.

Thank you! I really didn't expect many people to vote for me, since I only made 2 new releases this past year so I'm moved that people even voted for me as Best JCSer of the year. I'm also doubly glad people seemed to enjoy Lost Ages, I sacrificed a loooot of sleep to get it out before 2015 ended but I was never sure how it would be received since JJ1 levels aren't very popular and I've no idea if i'm any good at making them. To be honest, I decided I was going to take a break from creating levels this year but this gives me encouragement and motivation to be more active in the community =)

I'm also sorry I didn't vote, I didn't get a chance to play many new levels this year (especially Single Player) but that may change now that there's a list of the top recommendations from 2015 to check out. The results strongly reflect my personal opinion anyway. I enjoyed Horizon Approaching, Mighty Switch Test and Forgotten Civilisation and hope one day Skulg finishes her crazy awesome tileset! Also I want to congratulate PJ for being the best JCSer of 2015, it was really well deserved and I'm looking forward to what's in store for 2016

Congratulations to all winners, runners-up, and nominated alike. Thanks to you this year was one of the best recent years for JCS. Mighty Switch Test showed us a new standard of test and puzzle levels; Pinball Arena 2k15, Electric Express, and my battle levels introduced new quality to event-sized maps; Dilapidation demonstrated how scripting can be used to create atmospheric levels with great visuals; Forgotten Civilisation concluded all previous efforts to design a vertical CTF; and finally Jazzopoly demonstrated the sheer power of AngelScript which can change the game beyond recognition.

However on this day my heart goes out to victims and survivors of Semi Lucid Experience Chrysilis Spilled Out (Adventure of SSB SAMUS in$$ide the c0c41n3 c4stl3) XxX, especially those whose brains had been fried enough from listening to it to cause them to vote for it. Your sane, reasonably thinking selves will not be forgotten. I and all J2O members stand united for you today.

Thanks to everyone who voted, and to everyone that helped make 2015 such a fantastic year for the JCS scene and JJ2 in general! I am honored to know that people appreciate my levels enough to consider me the top JCSer this year. I feel I should give special mention to Blackraptor, since he was certainly a worthy runner up. The amount of effort that goes into making a pack of 30 levels cannot possibly be understated, and it's awesome that he went the extra mile to get them ready for release to coincide with the new year. While unfinished, the JJ2 SP levels he has showed me this year have been incredibly inspiring as well.

I wish a happy 2016 to everyone, and who knows, maybe the year will be even better than the last? You can most certainly expect new stuff from me this year. ;)

You don't need JJ1 to play it, as it comes with a modified exe file. You just need DOSBox to play it.

..And a healthy dose of JJ1 skills or the willingness to use cheats will come in handy. :p

As for the results, I too would like to thank everyone who uploaded something in 2015 as well as everyone who voted on the nominations! The winners are mostly the way I expected them, yet the vote spreadout has some oddities. I didn't expect Survivor.mut to win all votes for mutators, and I expected BlackRaptor to be at least more even with PurpleJazz for best JCSer. Anyhow, 2015 was a great year for JJ2 and so will 2016.
