A question about the archived forums.

Why were they archived?

I mean I see nothing wrong with stories and jokes, but these forums were still archived for some reason and I wanna know why.

Very low quality and/or quantity of posts, generally. With the dwindling amount of people that visit these forums I'd rather not spread them too thin and if you want to post fan fiction, questions about lori or jokes there's always the Art or Misc forums.
