Eeyup, that's Jaxxon. He precedes even Bucky O'Hare by quite a few years.

I thought you were going to reference JJA before I clicked on this thread.
I think this guy has more in common with Bucky than Jazz, tbh.

Honestly, I never heard about this Star Wars character before. I'm pretty much a Star Wars fan but anything further than the movies (and maybe Timothy Zahn's followup novel) is alien to me. Doing a little research on the forbidden grounds of Wikia, it seems this Jaxxon was made for a Marvel comic series and first introduced to the public in 1977.
But then again, Jaxxon was also a tribute to Bugs Bunny. You can safely lead all cartoon bunnies back to Bugs. All else Jaxxon, Bucky, and Jazz share is that they're green and somewhat badass.

There's a Bugs Bunny cartoon released in 1955 named Hyde and Hare, involving Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, at the end of which Bugs drinks the potion created by Dr. Jekyll and by doing so transforms into this green monstrosity, so I think it's safe to say Jazz Jackrabbit is actually a Looney Tunes character:

And they travel through space and carry guns.

Good point, but.. Carrying guns and traveling through space is the definition of 'badass'!

Oh man, that Bugs Bunny cartoon takes me back. I used to watch that on VHS all the time way back when.
That was always one of my favourites as a kid.

Have not seen that last creature in ages. Thanks for reminding me that it existed. :)
