In-game crash when changing sound device

As title suggests. I have speakers and a headset. When changing the sound device on windows 10 in game the game freezes and stops responding. No access violation. (Only when in game or in a demo, in the menu it works fine). This is as of v6.6e, does not happen in my other folder where I installed 6.6d. It also only seems to happen in SP, not when in an MP server. In my mind this is probably related to the episode crash fix in v6.6e and introducing this crash.

Tried it again today and I can't replicate the crash anymore and it seem to be working fine, very strange. Yesterday I had my headset on standby for a while and it shut off, when trying to get it back on it had trouble seeing the device. Other audio programs I launched worked fine but JJ2. That's when trying to switch the audio device back and forth crashed 6.6e.

I have a keyboard shortcut for switching audio devices. I switched to Speakers, headset, monitor speakers while in-game. It all worked just fine on a sp level with the latest Plus version. I am using Windows 11, tho.
