How do you defeat your opponents? what type of strategy do you use? well, this topic is all about strategies and basicly how you play Jazz2.
My strategy:
I run as fast as i can around the level collecting weapons and powerups. (mainly bouncer, toaster and the evil seeker powerup)
Then when i spot an adversary, my reaction is to attack with full force! then leave as fast as i can avoiding a counterstrike.
Your weakness is optional, but you can tell it if you want to and thats what i intend to do.
My weakness:
Lag is my weakness. Get a super fast computer or internet connection and you'll be more than a match for me! because i have a whimpy laggy computer with only 200mhz and as little as 32mb ram and a 28.8 modem. Put me in a laggy server and watch me get roasted!

Ambush! It is the greatest. In battle 1 when I get the seeker powerup I wait behind a wall for "ehehehe" people like fire sword to attack me and in that moment I shoot 2 or 3 seekers into the hole or passage from which the enemy is coming. Then I hide as fast as possible to avoid enemy fire. I run away and find another good place for ambush. Hehe! Come and get me if you dare. :D
This works best with newbies!

hmm, i guess the most popular strategy is to look for powerups, attack the opponent and run away. not too hard to figure out, at least half of all players do it...
about lag, i had a nice experience once. in some server in battle1 i had just 1 heart left, and i was being hit by a bombing of seekers of at least 3 different players, but i didn't die until 2 or 3 minutes afterwards:lol:

My strategy: Hog weapons. Always get carrots. Never die.

But apparently you haven't completely mastered that last stated strategy, egg. I fall victim to your "never die" goal being unsuccessful. ;-P

Bobby and I use the same stwategy. Diying ish howwible. AVOID IT. NOW. n.n
and when yew diy yew have ta get weapons again and... wen i fight BoB ..(egg? o.o;;;) and i get killed... he always wait fer me ta get seekers! IM STILL BEIN SO PREDICTEEBLE. i meen... he always knows if i go by the lower or higher warp. . .. .. .. . .He times me. ;P when it gets longer, i go by upper warp and wen i dun fink enuff i go by the lower one. but wen i kill bob (egg o.o) and he has to get weapons, i get all stressed out becuz i dunno if he'll go by lower or higher! and and he comes in and shoots meh and we go 20 mins witout killin eachothers becuz we kamp and get carrots all the time u.u;;

Oh thats tyf hehe i was just about to complain about your spelling (i know its fake :))
anyway what i tend to do its if its a small level like say dats28 then i grab that toaster as fast as possible then i jump around the leverl firerying it randomly until they accidently jump in to it (when you run and fire it its burst is massive!) seekers dont work as well as this trust me! however ive always loved fire ehe. oh and don't forget grab the carrot when 1 heart is gone and always jump and run.
Hit and run tactics work the best!

I get them with a powerup, then pick them off with RFs as they try to get a carrot.. if they manage to get me I make a quick break for the health. Relentless tactics are most effective.

Pretend to be idle
Sneak around collecting stuff without anybody seeing you
then jump on them when they least suspect it.

I basically do the same as others (But I do it worse  ) I get the power-ups. Gaurd them. When I'm weakend, I get health. I tend to try to surprise attack people by doing things most people think that 1 character can't do very well. I do many things that are just weird. And The best thing is to just keep in steady movement, tracking down your prey, without your prey knowing whats in store for him, and that he could die at any time!!!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ooopss...Kinda got carried away :p But anywayz my weakness is to do what I do, but better (as many tend to do :p)
BTW Watch out for Pure black rabbits in Diamondus, They make vortexs that can suck you in and you never come back because of the inner-stellar gravitational pull that the 12782478654th dimension has. Especialy the 12782478654th dimensions effect on rabbits, it's horrible, I mean, it basically shreds them of their fur, takes their weapons, throws them into a burning pit of fire, gets millions of the gelangargs to watch as they bring in this enormous black cow, that then eats you up, regurgatates you, then stomps on you, and you breathe on it, and it goes crying to it's mommy, and then they just lock you up in a little red jail cell and all laugh at you because you are naked, and they think it's soooo funny because you're a naked rabbit, stuck in a red jail cell, and the gelangargs have no Idea what rabbits look like, so they seem soooo funny to them, then they start throwing pointing things, and then one of them hits you around the.....
Well anywayz, you get the point! Uh....Bye......
*Sees a Pure Black Rabbit*...Uh......:O.....*runs away like a little sissy lori rabbit*

'Arc of Doom;. Man I love this strategy. Get powered up seekers, run at the opponent, when you get close fire seekers and jump over them, still firing. Result? Trapped. Heheheheheh. I use this alot on hells angels level and Diamondus Warzone. Also, 1 hit kill seeker trick. Heheheheheheh!

I'll start off by saying my weakness:
Lag. Have you ever wondered why I suck in tight levels? Well, you will know now. Because of extreme lag in South Africa I never could do close battles. Heck, by the time I see someone it's already too late, I'm wasted! All tight levels limit 'ranged attacks' so you have to get close to someone to kill them. There, now don't host tight levels ya hear :)
Here's my battle tips:
1) NEVER STOP RUNNING! YOU'RE A RABBIT!!
Seekers and Bouncies are the best weapons. Sometimes I'll use RFs, but I actually prefer pepper spray above RFs.
No, I'm not nuts, I did some tests. Pepper Spray shoots farther than RFs, and just as fast. The pepper spray power-up shoots something close to 35 tiles far. Imagine shooting almost as far as a Seeker but as fast as an RF. Only problem is that it doesn't spread out, but you can do that by 'hopping' (jumping up and down in small burts) while shooting. Ok enough of that tip, back to my strategies.
2) I never shoot where a person is, but always where they will be. It takes a while to get used to, but if you shoot where they are on your screen you would shoot where they were (unless they weren't running, and what did I say about that ;) ) and that's pointless.
3) I prefer to stay far away from the actual battles and use 'artillery' to blast in there. Bouncies, RFs, Seekers and Pepper Spray can all do some great artillery work. If you're far away nobody can hurt you, or sometimes even know you're actually part of the battle *evil grin*
4) Bouncies are just plain awesome. The only weapon that is not really affected by your running speed and direction. Ok well it is a little, but only a little. When someone follows you you can just turn around quickly, shoot a couple, and turn back and run. This saves the whole: 'turn around and run back in the direction of the person that attackes to shoot THEN turn around and carry on running'. Heh, I've killed so many ppl like this :)
5) The 'arc of doom' (mentioned by defalcon) is the best seeker strategy. I use it a lot. In fact, when I have seekers, I almost only use it. So there :p
6) Killing is more important than dying. If you don't believe me, there must be somehting wrong with you. You win by getting kills not dying all the time ;)
Now, if you HAVE to stay alive all the time you've got some ego problem. I would much rather run straight into a battle near death to kill myself instead of clinging to life with one heart and no weapons, sitting in a dark corner hoping to reach a carot un-noticed. This takes TIME! And to buld up from that is very hard.
Heck, if you're in the situation, get yourself killed. Preferrably by someone low on the roast list (don't wanna give the winner a free roast close to victory). Yeah, that sounds good. Look for a n00b, have a little battle (you might just be able to kill him) and die to start again. He'll feel good and brag about his madskillz (not to mention play Jazz 2 more to try something like that again), while you get what you want, a quick full energy carrot. Every player out there has a purpose *evil grin*. Of course your reputation might not be what it used to be, but that little voice inside of you knows what really happened. DIE WITH HONOUR! :D
7) I always prefer a tactical advantage more than my own life. It's stupid, and you most probarly will die, but chances are you will get a kill before you do. If you're about to die, and some L337 demi-god whose only purpose in life is to give you a quick death guy with a fastfire powered up bouncy comes from above, you will have a choice to make. You know there is a carrot underneath you not far away that you can run for, and you know there is some really mean weapons above you, it would be pretty obvious to choose to run like crazy to that carrot as fast as your shaking little legs can carry you. Well, I wouldn't, even if I only have one heart I'll take a chance and try get above the guy. You might think this is suicide, but the other side is as well. That guy almost definitley knows where the carrot is, and he will know you're going for it, so it's ok for him to kill you there. Or, even worse, the carrot was taken. Or, even worse, the carrot was JUST taken and there is some major battle going on there. There is always activity close to a carrot, it's probably the most active area (or close to a power-up. If you're above the guy (and you survived) you at least have tactical advantage, so you can attack him as a bit of a 'back off' warning. They might be persistent and follow you, but (if you manage to live long enough) will waste a lot of ammo and loose some life before he kills you, and he'll end up being in your situation. Just a bit of revenge :D
8) Just another interresting little fact. Jazz/Spaz moves at 20 tiles per second. That means that if you stand still, someone that is running will reach you (from the edge of the screen until he touches your bunny) in 0.5 seconds. If you're both running at each other, it will take 0.25 seconds. Heh, that's some major reaction time. Next time someone runs flat out at you and you dodge them, remember that you did it in less than a quarter of a second, you can start feeling proud now :)
Unfortunately, this also means that you need a ping of at least 250 to be able to play jazz properly.
9) Hmmm, last thing, the tips on J2O are wrong (the one about the non powered up bouncy going farther) in a way. It only goes farther because if the powered up bouncy bounces back again when it's almost done. All you need to do to prevent that is to jump in the air before you shoot, so it won't bounce backwards :)
That's more than enough, I love free periods during school :)

Each adversary is effected differently by a different strategy for example:
Just yesterday i was playing in iCeDs server. Disguise [GpW] was on my team and we were fighting moose and Ryu [GpW] now i see this 'moose' guy sometimes he plays just as good as iCeD if i didn't know any better i would think he was iCeD he was creaming me! my strategy was totally uneffective against him! and if that wasn't bad enough Ryu also a powerful opponent was making things harder for us. Disguise [GpW] was a BIG help, since my strategy wasn't working on moose i had to use another strategy this one was more effective against moose.
So i suggest using different strategies instead of just using just one strategy. The people who replied to my thread have some very useful strategies which i'll probably use. SO does anyone have a strategy for lag?

I have to agree with Disguise on those tactics, except for 1 thing: Jazz and Spaz don't move at 20 tiles per second. That's a bit too fast, I believe. Considering Jazz/Spaz are 1 tile like this:
# <---Jazz/Spaz
_ <---1 tile.
They don't run at 20 tiles per SECOND. More like 2-4 seconds.
Still, battle strategies:
- Arc. Of. Doom. Memorise those 3 words. The best seeker tactic. Near inescapable when done by experts.
- Reverse air jump. With Spaz, when running away and they're close behind, jump, double jump backwards and keep going. Buys you more time. Also, if you don't go tohigh, you can convert it into an arc of doom.
- In the standard blast-fest, there is usually someone who runs in, pops off a few quick shots and high-tail's away like a scared...well...rabbit (usually me). Effective, and evil. I hate when people do this ('cept when it's me ;) )
- RF's work really well. When there's a scared n00b player with only a blaster, and you come storming in, guns blazing with powered up RF's, they'll wet themselves. Not literally, but you get the idea.
- When people stay away from the big battles and steal your hard earned kills with a ranged bouncer shot, run and blast. Look out Disguise ;)
- Disguise has another point. If you can accomplish a goal like taking the carrot or powerup, even if dying in the process, it's worth it. Unless of course, the guy who killed you has now won the battle.
- Fully fast-fired blaster, with powerup, is one of the best weapons. Just hold down fire, turn on the run lock and run around spraying everything.
