ok, i have made many levels with the "lego" tileset.. but they are just to plain.
is there a way to edit that tileset. and add custom tiles/tiles from other sets(like some sky tiles for layer 8)
i really want to bring my "leggoisland" levels to life so if anyone has info on tileset editing/copy+pasting tell me

If your talking about Jazz1: Blocks then just make your own tileset, I'd like to see one!

I think what your talking about is possible but VERY hard to do i recommend you just make your own tileset.

It's not that hard actually.

We don't need edits
Make your own set instead.

It's imposible to take tiles from one tileset and make a level from diamondus and carrotus.
Make your own and the pallette wont suppor enough colours for them both to have good colouring but it could be done I think, no wait- size limit.

it is possible... i made the base picture for it based on shots from the "print screen" key. but it won't form into a tileset
i did it.. but it still will not form a tileset

Hmmmmm...
A diamondus and carrotus tileset...
A slight possibilty, but maybe not those 2 tilesets. I may use some others, most likely. But should I really make a tileset like that?

i replace the mundane colors of the carrotus background with wierdly arranged pschyodelic colors. that are allready in the tileset. it should be able to do it i wil ltry later tonight

Lol, I just gave an example you actually doing it? GOOD LUCK.
I randomly picked carrotus and diamondus because they share the same textured background pallette colours.

no i am doing leggo and a carrotus sky... doesn;t seem to be working Quite that well, as it turns the black rims of the leggo backbround blocks purple. and messes up the mask
i have isolated the problem.. but it won't fix...
it seems paintbrush !I am gonna kill it!
darkens colors when saving a 256color bitmap. so when i put in the color that is supposed to be the first tile and the blank tiles. it darkens it. the game recognizes this as different tiles. and thus adds it's blank color tile to be the first in the palette. replacing black. which makes for serious complications. (as in all black spaces clear)
but i am gonna try to stick it in adobe photoshop and lighten it up.. i have very limited graphic software. private message me with your e-mail and i will send you the tileset and mask.
cuz face it... sky in legoland would be cool even if it is a demented black, blue, purple.red, orange, yellow and green sky.
(uses j1blocks.j2t as the tileset, blocksA256 as the picture, and blocksmask as the mask)

You should combine the carrotus and castle tilesets.
