How about Adobe Photshop..

personally, I use combustion.

Here's a demo for it

So you basicly want a good graphics processor that you can use without spending a second even attempting to learn how to use it?

I'm trying hard not to laugh. Really.

I suggest you use PSP ;P. Trust me, the only thing better from that which can actually make tilesets is photoshop or maybe GIMP, and those are _way_ harder to use.

I uasually use PSP but I have another program I sometimes use, Micrografx Picture Publisher.
Uasually I preffer psp cause the other one can only undo one action each time.
It does have some useful effects though. What it does not have is a grid.

When I made Techno World Limitless, I used a combination of that and Paint Shop Pro.

In some ways its easier to use than PSP but I will again repeat: it does not have a grid!

Of course it does. I believe Roseta was saying that the"Micrografx" program didn't have a grid..

Photoshop is actually a lot neater than PSPro

and Combustion is by far, better than all of the programs listed so far

Oh yeah.. and leme see you make something like a lens flare in PSPro

Actually, you can make a lens flare with PSP :P

PSP is probably your best bet. If you mastered regular MSpaint, then you can get adjusted to PSP. The only thing bad about it is the trial evaluation (gasps!)

On the other hand, if you can general draw well on paper, maybe you should just try scaning your drawings and then you could edit it with a paint program (that's what I kinda did :P). If you don't have one, try asking someone else.

I use Ulead PhotoImpact, which is basically a PSP clone. I'd rather use PSP or Photoshop, but I don't have the money, and UPI came free with my scanner.

Really?... okay my bad.. used an old version of PSPro.. new one of Adobe

I doubt it touches Combustion though.. you try it? ~_^ you seriously should check it out

(it might not be fair to compare them though considering combustion is the top PC Graphix editing programing made by the company that made the machines that made the graphix for the matrix and so on x_o sorry bout the run-on)
