Actually it's the other way around (Well, it would be like this in Holland). To remain the monarchy the husbands of the royal family's princeses are called after the name the royal family has.

So it would actually be Jazz Earlong and not Jazz Jackrabbit.

Although it might work else in Carrottus. Perhaps they didn't marry at all? Nobody knows yet..
