even if he doesn't want to be, i say we give him the title. It's kind of like being Knighted. Mayour Guliani never killed any dragons, but he's one.
yea's and nays right here folks!

Myself, I'd like to be a moderator. That way, I can correct spelling and grammar mistakes and do other stuff...

That's for all the admins to decide...

Everyone will make simple grammar and spelling mistakes, GenEX. Some people from diffrent countries also use diffrent spellings for things such as gray and grey, colour and color, favorite and favourite.
You will eventually make a grammar mistake one of these days, everyone does.
FreeLancelott
February 20th, 2002, 04:21 PM
well slim, the way i see it is, most of the admins are just admins cos of who they are, not their activeness. so i say we make him one.

February 20th, 2002, 04:24 PM
I remember the JMMB almost perfectly :p (and fondly ;))
Brian should be an admin. ;p
And you really don't need to fix spelling or grammar errors. If someone edited every post of mine just because I spelled something wrong I would laeve.
Brian

I think I was an admin till about a week ago. I just want to be one again.

February 20th, 2002, 05:28 PM
I sorta remember the JMMB myself...
No, not THOSE spelling mistakes, War Tavern spelling mistakes.(what if somebody wanted to make your story into a book?) I've seen too many in War Stories, I CAN'T STAND SPELLING MISTAKES! AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGG!

February 20th, 2002, 05:40 PM
:O
Unbelievable!;)
How do they do it? Do they get paid? Can I be an editor? Do they like cheese? How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? Is it lunch yet? Do I smell cookies? Who brought the tarter sauce? Is sitting naked in a wagon cool? Are you sleeeeeeeepy nooooooow?

Editors are nifty. You give them your work and they fix it.

Only you can make your story into a book, otherwise it is illegal. It does not have to have the usual copyright on it. Actually, as soon as you draw something out, or write something, it is basically copyrighted by the author.
Anyway, I am working on a book myself and a new story for the War Tavern.
I don't remember you being at the JMMB. I was on the JMMB when I was eight or nine. I wrote my first story while I was nine, and I'm [almost, 3 more months] 13.

BRIAN FOR ADMIN.
Monolith
February 20th, 2002, 09:36 PM
That's for him and the other admins to decide. I certainly wouldn't mind him begin an admin concidering the fine job he did back on the JMMB.

I voted for "no". This is a new messageboard, so we will have new mods and admins. There.
Wild Angel
February 20th, 2002, 11:00 PM
I agree. 3/4 of the people here have always spent all their lives here at the JMMB/JCF just as "members".
defalcon
February 20th, 2002, 11:48 PM
I have spent like forever as a normal member, and I wouldn't mind a boost, but Brian is Brian. There's nothing better than reminiscing about than the JMMB (well, and J2C and UJ and The Rabbit Hole and...). Brian for Admin! And Brian, we've hookede a magical ball-and-chain to your leg so you can't escape! Bwuhahahaha! :)

But the old Mods and Admins have more experience than the "new" ones. So i voted Yes.

Brian will probably admin again, I just want to know for sure if the other admins agree with this decision, first.
Brian: I don't think you were, or at least, nobody change your status. But you WERE an admin. Not sure what happened with that.

I don't think Brian has the time to be able to do this function well. And I think we already have a Brian (or someone who is like a what Brian used to be on the JMMB) named: FQuist.
Brian is to busy, and hasn't spend enough time in Jazz lately to be updated.
The March Hare
February 21st, 2002, 12:13 PM
Cynic.
:D
I think Brian should be an Admin. if for nothing else then honorary purposes. I mean, c'mon, we're talking about the guy who STARTED THE JJMB. How much cooler can you get in the world of Jazz?

He's great and I said so :) (And a hottie, but that's besides the point) He started AND payed for the JMMB. You know, message boards cost money sometimes? And without him, you wouldn't be posting here right now. He was the lead admin of the JMMB. Just because you want to be a mod or admin, you don't have to say that other people, especially important people, are not worthy.
Heh, but my view could be biased, so don't ask me. :)

everything is biased one way or another, foxi :)
however the point here is genex's pride. or somethin.

Yes, sometimes I too wish for more of an intellectual level of discussion; but sometimes the superficial ones are too fun to pass out on. =)

It doesn't take much to get used to reading it... it takes a lot more to get used to typing it.
When iCeDe and I used to try to talk like that to each other, I'd always mess up at least once every message by saying "you" instead of "u."
It's hard to get used to, or something. :)
FreeLancelott
February 24th, 2002, 11:15 AM
lol i can't hardly type incorrectly. my fingers just won't do it.
genex: if you can't read it, don't. i mean, it's not like you HAVE to or anything.
