I have Jazz1 and I dnno how to get the music on it to work, even though it works in all other programs.
Everytime I load a bonus level, the comp freezes so I have to avoid the big red gems or cheat to skip the level; its the same with the bosses.

How do I take screen shots in Jazz1? I have tried Print Screen when I run Jazz1 underwindows, but this doesnt work, I tried what it says in the Jazz1 help but that doesnt seem to work either!

Thanks for your help if you have any:lol:

Are those three problems in one, or one big problem linking into one huge problem that has irrelevance to every three subjects?

Er... well, what soundcard and OS do you have?

About taking screenshots... I think all DOS programs need a certain program to do so. I forgot the name, though.

my opperating system is Windows 98 but I play Jazz in DOS mode.
Soundcard is SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio I think.

SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio? Never heard of it... must be a distributor. In any case, are you sure you selected the right setting in the JJ1 setup program?

You realize you can't hear any music when there's no selected device to play it, no?

Anyway, if you're not sure whether it's SB or not, try SB16 first... if that doesn't work, then try SBPRO, followed by SB and then SBCLONE. SB16 gives you the best sound quality, provided your card is capable of decent SB16 emulation.

Screenshots: Backspace+F2

It saves it as an lbm file (Electronic Arts Deluxe Paint)

For sound, go into your Control Panel-->System, and find the device for your MS-DOS sound card emulation. It will show what the I\O, IRQ, and DMA are, and you can set that up with the sound blaster clone in the JJ1 settings.

Do you have a string in your Autoexec.bat that reads

Set Blaster=A220 I5 D1 T3

(or something simliar, but basicallys Set Blaster) I posted a topic about this earlier with the above string. And how exactly does it crash?

'nother important question:
Which version of JJ1 have you got? (You can see this when starting the game. It should list it on the screen. Something like: "Jazz Jackrabbit v1.??")

When I try most of the sound cards, the ones I tried it says: Run setup and configure your sound card or something.

A diffirent problem: The comp freezes when I try to load a bonus stage

Another problem: The comp freezes when I try to load a boss.gurdian level
