View Full Version : Ironic twist on Epic

That period that the list servers went faster... it was becuase list.jazzjackrabbit.com was available. Now then, it's not that common of knowledge that the only reason we could use it was becuase the passwording system was down. So what if we used some sort of internet attack to disable the passwording?
Just an ironic thought gnawing at the back of my mind.

I know somebody will eventually come out with a program to hack into Passworded Servers. But the creator will probably only give it to you on certain terms. This program probably already came out.
I'm still in my early stages of programming. I'm still trying to take courses in high school on C++.

I'd say its rather almost common knowledge on how to bypass a password and enter a passworded server...
I suppose not.

I think he is talking about passworded listservers rather then jj2 servers..

Oh that's right. Well Kaz, your list servers will actually only go faster if you have them set up the wrong way.

We're not talking about that, Roseta. :P

What we're talking about is that list.jazzjackrabbit.com has a password on it, meaning we can't access it, I believe.
Rather easy to bypass a passworded server.

But wouldn't that be haxorizing Kaz?

So, Epic keeps a listserver up, but passwords it...interesting. Sounds much easier to kill it to me.
And Bob, you are right...it's easy to bypass the password. ;P
Another thing which should be fixed. :)

It is haxoring indeed... I just thought it was ironic that such a thing could happen. And also, I have the list of servers configured right, it's just that list.jazzjackrabbit.com goes faster than jazz.logicware.com does.
