For the ones that are deciding if they'll upgrade to Windows XP or not because of JJ2... (better upgrade to Mac OS X anyhow, it's better :P)
I want you all to know that JJ2 runs great on Win XP...

And even if it wouldn't run well in XP, you could click with your right mouse button on the file and choose some option so the game will run under Win95 or Win98 circumstances in XP!

At first, JJ2 didn't run well for me on XP, because the GeForce2 drivers that XP provided were crappy at 2D rendering, but after I updated the nVidia drivers, it worked great.

Well, XP did away with DOS (which Jazz runs in), so you're basically screwed in that respect if XP is your only OS installed.

I have XP too, and it definitely gets my 1337 award of 1337ness. ;P

Mostly XP is good. I just gotta lotta complaints, but there are complaints, I'm sure, for all Windows OSes.

Why is it you never see people complain like this about Linux? :P

It runs fine... except for the sound a bit but probably kuz I haven't updated my soundcard forever. They didnt' get rid of dos competely, you can still run it.

XP may not be good for all you jazz2 program making types. From what I hear, XP doesn't allow for memory adress editing.

They didn't get rid of DOS very much actually. In fact, in 2k, they changed to a DOS telnet client...and kept it in XP. ;P

It's probably the fact that you don't have a turbo pascal patch or anything for JJ1, and you have a superior computer.

Also, a funny thing about JJ2 in XP is if you have error reporting enabled (which is by default) everytime you get an AV, it will close (YAY) and ask to report and error. Easy way to spam Microsoft, disregarding the fact they don't read those...
