Why don't you get the 1.23 patch instead of the 1.22?
(If, you've already mentioned why, then don't blame me, because my brain is just not working for me today :D)
You can get the 1.23 patch at http://www.jazzjackrabbit.com
They may have stopped updating the site (about, um, 3 years ago) but it still works.

Go here:
1) Go to: http://www.jazz2online.com/
2) Click on 'Levels' on the Toolbar.
3) Click on: View All-Scroll down and select: Other
4) Click on: Go.
5) Click on Page: 3
6) Scroll down until you find: 'Jazz Jackrabbit 2 1.23 Registered Patch' by me, JJ Tublear (I don't take Credit for making this, because I didn't make it.)
7) Click on: Download
*Note: Don't forget to download the patch to your JJ2 Folder!*
Hope that helps!

Just to tell you Gundanium, cussing isn't allowed on this Bulletin Board. So you should edit your topics.

You deleted 1.23? Well then you probably did it the wrong way.
Go to http://www.jazzjackrabbit.com/dlj2util.htm , download the 2nd thing there (using the jazzjackrabbit.com link), right click the file, and install. Then reinstall/patch JJ2..

That was a problem? I've had to reinstall JJ2 a tonne of times. Explain. :p
