I just wanted to let you guys know...
that...
I'm the new editor of the Jazz Jackrabbit DMOZ category (http://dmoz.org/Games/Video_Games/Genres/Platform/Jazz_Jackrabbit_Series)!
This is the directory that feeds google and many other search engines. So if you want to add your links to it, I'll be happy to "edit" them for you and add it to the database.
My first editors "act" was to give a Cool Star http://dmoz.org/img/star.gif to J2O.
Having me as the category editor means that links will be added faster because a higher-level editor doesn't have to do it.
So...add your links now! I command you! ;)

To add your site, go to the "Add URL" link at the top of the category page. That is the official way of doing it, and I would rather you did it through that instead of through here.

I'd plug SpiffyJuice but it's only qualification is that it is infested with Jazz2 players =P

Well one problem with sites that get stuff out of DMOZ is that it isn't live. DMOZ puts their whole directory in a set of files, and it is up to the site when they want to update their version of the directory.
That is why there are still only four sites in the section on google, but 8 right in DMOZ.

On a side note, it is too bad the directory is only found on google if you search for "Jazz jackrabbit series", which is sadly not exactly a phrase people think of typing.. is there an ability to add aliases?

Well, if it accepted wild cards and people used them, they might be able to get there. You could probably ask them to change it to Jazz Jackrabbit 2, as there are no fan sites left for Jazz1, not even an official Jazz1 page anymore. :p
But Congratulations!
The main problem is the fact that the first word in JJ2 is JAZZ, which gives you tons of Jazz music listings.

Yeah, spazbot, but if they're smart then if they have more than one word they'll put their search entry in quotes so that it doesn't search for all 3 words as seperate entries, but for all 3 being found in one page. See, and that's good becuase then only the people smart enough to do that will be here :)
I use italics too much.

That isn't completely true. If you just type in "Jazz Jackrabbit" in google, a link to the directory will appear right at the top of the page. (Try it (http://www.google.ca/search?q=Jazz+Jackrabbit&hl=en&btnG=Google+Search&meta=))
I still would like to know how often google updates their copy of the directory, because they haven't updated very recently.
I'm new to this editing thing, so I'm not sure if I'm supposed to delete sites just because a clan is dead. But I'll ask at the editors forum about it.
