um, just a thought...
I've heard about a program that converts .mod-type files into .j2b files, for use with JJ2. Is there any program that converts them back?

We've been complaining about that...
Anyways, you can usually get most of the music (in MOD format) from jj2 from loricentral.com (if it's up)

And if by some odd chance you're looking for a .mod that someone converted into .j2b for one of their levels, ask and if nobody here has it they can probably direct you to where to find it.

Nope, but it would rock though.

i found the song that i was looking for. bad news is, it wasn't an official jj2 song, so i couldn't get it off any of your kindly proffered servers. good news is that it was already in mod format! woowoo!
ok, another question... *is hit by brick*
i may... no, scratch that, will be getting a new comp soon... my current one is wasted, prolly got twenty different viruses on it, and jj2 works no longer. so, what's a good speed comp (MHz) to run jj2 on?
XP SUX YO! :p

Try a 1.7Ghz. Muahahaha! 70fps non-stop. ;P
Xp is good.

You want a good computer specification? I got my new one, and it rocks! (Jazz2 windowed, 70FPS!!!)
Ok so here it is:
Motherboard: ASUS A7V266-E (with RAID)
CPU: AMD Athlon XP(got nothing to do with win XP) 1700+
CPU Cooling: Any fan that runs at 7200 RPM + is good. It may make some noise, but man, it keeps the CPU cool! (My friend, who does not have the super cool case and the really fast fan on the CPU, has his CPU running at 20 C higher temperature! His computer will not last as long as mine with that kind of temp.)
RAM: 512 MB PC-2100 DDR
Video Card: NVIDIA Geforce 2 MX400 64 MB ram on it. (you may
want to upgrade the video card, because the prices just went down quite alot. Look and some sort of GeForce 3, not the Geforce 4 MX, because a top of the line Geforce 3 can beat it.)
Sound Card: SoundBlaster Audigy Platinum eX (you may just want a SoundBlaster Audigy X-Gamer. Mine, is for making music, which i do alot of. It's got a break-out box and stuff.)
Tower: Get some sort of Antec Full Tower Case, because mine that i got, has tons of fans in it. Believe me, a cool tower and a cool tower... :)
OS: I'm sorry to say this, but Windows XP Home Edition really is a very nice OS if you take out the colors (which i know how to do, so just ask me)
Hope that helped!

I can do that too. :p
Hm...that system's as good as mine almost.
70FPS in JJ2 windowed isn't like supercool. If you can do that with Jedi Knight II/RtCW, THEN I'll be impressed.

have you sent them anywhere? like the Liero Hellhole (http://www.lierohell.tk)?
...mneh. I rarely play Liero anymore anyway, so I might be able to put up with XP. For a while, anyway. Then, back to Windows 2000! Wooyaa!

70 FPS is average, no bar that, 70 FPS is mediocre in RtCW, 100 plus is very good.
Don't think CPU is the main factor in frame rates either, its mainly based on your graphics card and whether its intergrated or it was an addon.
Basically i could get a geforce 4 Ti with my 1ghz comp and beat your FPs at any game defalcon.

A good graphics card isn't THAT important. The human eye can't see more than 50 fps or something so :P. On my old PC with a TNT2 Riva 16 MB JJ2 ran very smooth.
As far as I know Win XP is very great for JJ2. Only one thing: For some reason I can't run spy without my taskbar getting frozen.
And yes, 1,7 GhZ is enough ;)

Heheh, maybe Krez, but I might be getting a Geforce 3 or a Geforce 4, cause my dad is 'upgrading' (he's replacing everything except the monitor, speakers, HDD's cause everything else is too old to upgrade far) and the deal he's getting comes with a GFCE3/4. And he said I could have the new one and he'd have my GFCE2MX, cause he doesn't need them for business. ;P Muahahaha! Feel my wrath Krezack! ;)

Just in case you want to get rid of the colored buttons, here's how:
Right click on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop click Properties, then click on Advanced, then under Performance click on Settings, In Visual effects scroll all the way down, and uncheck "Use visual styles on windows and buttons."
