Ok my friend (Teej (he posted the first message)) came to set it up for and everything looked fine until we tried playing over the internet. Though after 20 seconds or so it says the game timed out. My thoery is that my computer couldn't connect in the first place so it didn't detect the key strokes but i may be wrong. But everything else worked fine except that whenever i stop playing my screen darkens the contast and I have to reload the game to get it back to it's original brightness.

Darkens the contrast...do you mean ambient lighting?
But this looks more like a network problem than a keyboard problem. Do you have a router?

And the screen just becomes a few shades darker. Just fiddle witht you brightness/contrast controls and make it darker on your screen to see what i mean.
And also yeah i do have a router.

His contrast goes dark when he stops playing and he's on the main menu again. Can't be ambient lighting.

I think you have to disable or enable something on that same menu before you can get it to work.

There is no keyboard problem :)
It's a network problem. Get your router set up properly for JJ2(forward ports 10052-10054) and then it will work. If the keyboard still doesn't work, then there may be something else wrong.

3. Enter "router" in the keyword box
4. Under "Search forum..." select "Technical Help"
5. Click "Perform Search"
