A question for artists...

HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU GET THOSE SMALL SMALL LINES THAT SEEM IMPOSSIBLE TO DRAW WITHOUT A GRAPHITE NEEDLE OR POSSIBLY MECHANICAL PENCIL!?

I haven't figured it out, and it seems relatively simple, excuse the caps.

Nah, the trick is either...

...blowing cash to get HYPER SPECIALIZED MAGIC AMAZING art tools like you mentioned, or...

...drawing REALLY REALLY BIG (Seriously huge), scanning it big, then shrinking the image in you painting program after scanning it... that'll allow you to draw lines that look somewhat thick on paper, but come out thinner and smoother when shrunk... turn on anti-aliasing, remember...

I wonder the same thing sometimes, Kaz. I can't get lines like that easily on the computer. When I'm using paper & pencil every now and then theres a really pointy spot on my pencil, I mean like as you said, graphite-needle-sharp, and then I use that.

But I think the Captain has a better plan.

Get .01 pencils and pens. Hard to come by, hard to work with, but that's what people say to use.

I say just cheat, and edit it after scanning it :p

I have trouble doing that even with my Wacom pad. o.0

They're harder to use than most people think. ADOBE PHOTOSHOP 7 FOREVER!!

Well, okay, I use Paint Shop Pro to letter my comics, but that's only because Gimp doesn't have vector layers...
