Whoa... I leave for a year or so and everything goes *poof*... What happened to the JMMB? Jazz2Stuff? Is Brian, Captain Spam, Dethman, anyone else I used to know still around? Have you guys pressured Epic into publishing J3D yet? I'm so disoriented and confused...

Dethman closed it down because it wasn't religious enough. So now we have the new, improved, crunchy and generally nutritious JCF, only 2 calories per serving.

Jazz2Stuff?

Wakeman closed it down because it was too much of a work load. Someday he'll release the archives, maybe with the results of the final poll, maybe not. In the meantime, you can always look in the web archives.

Brian isn't really around, posted once a while ago, but only under pressure.
Captain Spam hangs around the Art Forum, but I'm not sure if he does anything else.
Dethman left. "So a farewell to all, it's been l33t"

Have you guys pressured Epic into publishing J3D yet?

No, but there's a possiblity they'll give us the source code (for making 1.25) or the JJ1 level editor sometime in the future. Note: I did not say "sometime in the near future".

Wow... guess that finally makes me an oldbie... :)
Although I see ShadowGPW, fquist, Dino, and IceMAN are still around... Heh, I remember when Ice and I raced each other to list all the MCEs after I depassed Dethman's quest and leaked how to make them...
Speaking of MCEs, has anyone figured out why they work, and how to make them more stable? I remember them acting erratically depending on what row/column you put them in.

Welcome Back. :)

Well, Dethman closed the JMMB because he thought that because of the many fights and trolls the JMMB didn't have any christian values left. The board was really a mess then. We started over with mostly the same crew, at this board.

It's been quite quiet since then, apart from a few fights.
Captain Spam is still around. Brian is too, but he barely visits the board, I think. Wakeman is sometimes found browsing j2o, but he too barely visits or does anything. Dethman left, but did make a new pack. Jeh is gone too. Noogy left to his own forum at www.noogy.com. Lots of people are still there but there are also many new people.

I don't know if you know that jj3 was real, but that they had to quit it because of a lack of publishers.

Yeah, I went AWOL right after the discovery that JJ3 would be scrapped due to a publisher problem. The screenshots looked way cool, so I hoped it had been salvaged... somebody was going to ask Cliffy for the source code so the game could be finished unofficially, but I guess it never happened.

Welcome back. You probably don't remember me but I learned the trick to de-passwording levels manually from one of your posts in early '99.

Glad to hear I was such a good influence! :)
Actually, I received a lot less hate mail from people who had their levels stolen then I expected... I thought everyone would figure it out eventually anyway, might as well make it public.

Speaking of passwords, lemme go check something real quick...

EDIT: Nevermind, Brian must have changed his password...

You <b>were</b> a good influence!

I was impressed because depassworders were unkown at that time (yes, Mez's depassworder wasn't even advertised* on Jazz 2 Stuff yet) so it made me wonder how you were able to find out the correct bytes (a simple file compare doesn't do the trick, I tried that).

*it was written there that it was available by request; you would have to email Wakeman to get your level depassworded.
