Yeah, but this isn't just ANY rabbit! This is <I>SPAZ</I> we're talking about! Any other rabbit probably was born without, or lost it simply. But Spaz probably had some insane wacky thing happen to make it dissapear. (Like the dopefish)

Well on the subject of why turtles fight rabbits, if you've played JJ1, according to that, this is part of the eternal struggle between turtles and rabbits... Well, that's all I know.

Devan Shell hates rabbits after reading "The Tortoise and the Hare", so he gathers a huge army. That's why they fight rabbits.

Eating carrots saves your life because it's much more appropiate for rabbits then med packs. No, I'm not sure how every game character has the ability to instantly heal themselves using a standard edition med pack, then not be able to use it afterwards.

Devan wears glasses for the same reason anyone else does.

Spaz's full name is Spaz Jackrabbit, Jazz's full name is Jazz Jackrabbit and Jazz is a bunny. So I suppose Spaz IS a bunny.
So Spaz did had a tail or he just had no tail.
If we look closer to Spaz we see his eyes ain't normal too (the way he always looks with those). So what's wrong with his eyes?

Not exactly. People who need glasses aren't blind without them, things just get much fuzzier. (...right? I don't need glasses (yet?) so I'm not sure about this)

Unfortunately for me that's correct, Unknown ;-P People with glasses get a fuzzy sight if they take off their glasses (mind you, not if the glasses are for reading). The degree of fuzzyness depends on how bad the eyesight is. In my case i can still see and recognize objects, but i can't read texts from a few meters distance, and it's also hard for me to recognize persons from more than about 10 meters.

I hope for you you'll never need glasses. It's something you get used to, but still it's not fun ;-/

i've actually begun to use my glasses a lot less often... i often look over the top of them when I am reading, examining something, or three inches away from my computer screen...

but for far-away things, i need them. even six feet away. i remember when i was five, i couldn't read a license plate from six feet away. :eek: 'das a bad thing.

As for Spaz... he definitely should get something for his eyes... i mean, the way they always swivel around and stuff... 'tis unnerving... -_-;

DARN! I thought I would come in with the "original" answer that the dopefish ate it, but not only did Unknown use it already, it was in the first post as well!

There is another possibility that nobody listed: birth defect. Although I like the theories that it was lost somehow.

And onto further Spaz insights (we're probably reading more into this guy than Epic did...) he possibly has some kind of ADD or something, I dunno.... He's also intelligent, but a crazy. (lol, an intelligent wacko...)

And on the topic of glasses, I first needed mine when I couldn't read the board in sixth grade. My eyes have progressively gotten worse, but I still take them off to read. You get used to them, but at first it is wierd.

Oh, and I had an idea. When fighting Devan, Jazz should knock off his glasses. THAT would be hilarious! Devan groping around, and looking lost and confused while Jazz melts him with a toaster! YEAH!

I think that Devan is an ambitous conquerer seeking to create an empire, and the Rabbits are rebelling against him. (But not like Star Wars.) The tourtise (sp?) and the hare is not the story behind it, it is just an example (Now they're at it again, 2000 or so years after...) Whatever. I guess platformers/side scrollers never have had and never will have great stories. But that's what the War Tavern is for! (For instance in my story I'm coming up with a lot of reasons for things and elaborating more on events in the Jazz universe. Check it out if you haven't seen it yet.)

Since Spaz eats anything he comes in contact with, when he was a kid, he always chased his tail around in circles like a dog. He wanted to eat it, because he's Spaz. He never caught it, but one day, an accident happened that led to the Dopefish biting it off. Since Spaz saw that the tail was no longer connected to his back end, it was the perfect opportunity to eat it! One problem....It was inside the Dopefish. So what did he do??? He popped the Dopefish into his mouth, thus eating his tail, and thus eating the Dopefish!

And now reporting live- I'm going to solve this enigma streight from the rabbits mouth. I received a very loyal tip that Spaz has been known to travel down this street on a regular basis- and I'm sure I can convince him to do an interveiw.
(Sounds of Spaz walking and humming to himself are heard from a short distance away. Batty hides in a nearby ally and sticks his foot out. Spaz enters, trips, and falls.)
Spaz: Oof.
(Batty comes out of the ally and helps Spaz to his feet. Then points the microphone at his face.)
B.B.: Spaz-(Spaz looks at the mike.) A lot of people have been noticing (Spaz licks the mike a couple times.) the lack of a tail on your person. (Spaz takes a huge bite out of the mike.) Any comments on how you receaved your lack of posterior appendages?
Spaz: (mouth full) Huh... (swallows. Then turns around and looks at his butt.) Hmm... Well- Whatta ya know... (Turns back to Batty) You know- I never really noticed that...
B.B.: Soooo- I guess you can't recall how you may have lost it?
Spaz: Nope I don't really have good hindsight.(Chuckles)
B.B.: (Groan)... Ya know- Kermit the Frog is really better at this stuff then I am...
