JazzTool 1.2? ***?!

OK, I didn't know whether to post this here or in Technical Help, so I decided to post it here, where more people can see it and possibly help me out.

Here's the deal: the other day, I was playing Jazz 2 online in a fierce battle game. Well, every so often, my screen (and apparently everyone else's) would come up with this line of text called 'JazzTool 1.2.' It eventually got to the point where it was only me against the host, and it still kept coming up. That's when the host had the audacity to accuse me of cheating... something I have NEVER done before in my life!

Uncertain as to what was going on, I started my own private server, and sure enough, it was still coming up!

The only problem is, I don't even know what this 'JazzTool 1.2' whatchamacallit is! All I know is that it's wreaking havoc with my reputation as an honest Jazz 2 player, and I want to get rid of it!

The only thing I've DLed recently Jazz 2 related was that Jazz 2 Server List Patch from J2O. I'm running Jazz 2, version 1.23, on the ever-so-buggy Windows 98.

If anyone could come up with any ideas or suggestions that could help save my reputation, it would be IMMENSELY appreciated!

i dont realy know but it seems that Jazz tool has a Build in Chat Function

it says Something in the 5 minutes or Something
and jazztool is not a Cheat Programma

JazzTool is a program that people use to know more info about the servers without going into the game.
When someone uses it and checks a server you're playing on you will see JazzTool 1.2 twice, is like a name that joined and left the game.
When that happens it means that the person who used it knows who is playing in the server and which level is being played.

In JazzTool v1.2 you don't have the ability (anymore) to join private servers or see who is in them or the level. (server info)

So I don't see how this would be possible.

Well, it's nice to know that it's not a cheat program. Thanks for the information. Like I said, I had no idea what this program was to begin with, but now that I do, I'll be able to play without worrying about people accusing me of cheating.

The next time that creep who dared to call me a cheater does that, I'll counter with this information. What happens next, though, will not be very pleasant.

People already downloaded the version that lets you join passworded servers and they probably didn't download the latest version.

If they downloaded the version that lets you join passworded (version 1) then it wouldn't say "JazzTool 1.2 joined..left" it would say "joined the game left the game."
(v1 uses noname to check contents)

Dude, that's not even closing to haxoring. And that was probably a noname playing practical joker. You can tell a noname because their text is slightly different (alignment-wise).
