1.23 is messed UP

A while ago a virus hitted my computer badly, I had to format my whole computer. After when my computer was fresh and clean, I downloaded the updates to be up-to-date. I installed, jj2 1.20 and TSF. After a while I downloaded also the 1.20 to 1.23 patch. But, there came up a horrible problem. After everything was patched and blah blah, I tried to host...it didnt work. Actually I did host but it didnt appear in the serverlist. But I could JOIN. So I tryed to re-install jj2. I put in the CD and pressed on-install...It didnt work. It said he missed the uninstall file or something. So I completely deleted jj2 1.23 from my disk. But after I put the CD it still had the option: Play, JCS, un-install. So Im quite disapointed, I dont know what happend. But I cant re-install and I cant host. Someone can help me?

To reinstall, use the second utility from http://www.jazzjackrabbit.com/dlj2util.htm to remove the registry entries, then install.

For the hosting.. uh.. that's not my area of expertise :p But I'd suggest after patching to use Alberto's "fixed" exe from http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads/moreinfo.php?levelid=769 , even though it won't solve your hosting problems.. but will make starting a server slightly faster when you do get it fixed.

duh! ITS OBVIOUS! use the listserver patch :p it lets u connect to the list server and lets u host and ppl can join. How long have u played for dude? Ive been playing for barely 3 years and one of da first things i knew was to get that patch :p honestly u claim u know everything about Jj2- yeah right ;)
