I'm an expert:
They can't enter any house UNLESS they have been invited in once.
They can also turn into a bat, wolf, or mist.

If I was a vampire I would probably stay away from crosses (especially those worn around the neck) and the occasional silver bullet.

can only enter a house when invited, otherwise it will get stuck and bash into an invisble wall when trying to enter
ability to turn to animal shape, mostly creatures of the dark as bats and crows
come out at night, suck blood to live (well..live they are actually redead)
eeehm..they look pale yes
they will die if they are exposed to sun, they will burn and be cremated to ashes
they are not relatived to alien spacecows http://jazz2.nagcentral.com/forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif
and another rumour is that when a werewolf is killed in a special way (silver bullets?) they have a chance to return to live as vampire, but u should check that out yerself
and last but not least
if u want to kill it u have to smash a wooden stick trough its heart http://jazz2.nagcentral.com/forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Bleh. They only have ONE fang. In the middle. I don't know how it is, its like a snake's fang, bending, I guess, or maybe it extends.
They can conjure images, can't they? To escape?
I don't know.

The truth about the vampire.
They hate sunlight and will burn into dust if they are touched by it- FALSE!
They only sleep durign the day or rest. The dust and it will hurt them bit was added by Hollywood
They turn into bats- False!
Bram Stoker added this but they do turn into mists and wolves in classic lore
They have fangs-FALSE!
Thank Bram for this too!
Can you kill one?-Yes. The ole' wooden stake through the heart bit.
You have to be bitten to become one-FALSE
Your shadow could be stolen or the shadow of some creature could pass over your grave and you could rise up.
Can't enter unless invited-TRUE!
Hate the cross-True
Anything else you need to know thats true and not changed?

I think y'can listen to Mr. Stoker, vampires don't exist, and he did write the incredibly famous book about them, so I think we can forgive him for lying a bit... http://jazz2.nagcentral.com/forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif
They can't cross running water (afaik, may not be true).

modern day vampires:
wooden stake thing only paralizes them.
they are afraid of werewolves.
crosses: False, some of them are indeed afraid of crosses.
holy water: some even drink it.
they cant eat food and they cant stand sunlight so they rest during daytime.
They are mixed under common people, they live in hotel rooms and all that kinda stuff.
They are close to animals, some can even speak with animals and do some magic.
really powerfull vampires like the bali ones can even walk around during day time, and all that crap about vamps going to the bloodbank nowadays aint true either

Play some Castlevania or read the wonderful story in "Reave the Just" (and other tales) by... um, forgot the author. Anyway there's a very moving short story from a vampire's perspective in it.
