View Full Version : Making J2V Files
Phantom Card

Hey everyone. Magic CardCK here. I'm currently working on a new level pack, a sequel to my last one, Jazz in the Matrix. I plan on having some FMV's in it, however I am stumped as to how I'd be able to put the FMV's right into the game. If anyone knows how to do this, I'd really appreciate a response. The demo is currently up here at Jazz2Online if you want to play it.

I know you ;)
Matrix Regurgitated is ok. Improve eyecandy and stuff ;) Ok, for a first timer. Nice original "Train Chase" < -- I should put this in the review ;)
So.... yes, you can make movies. Very hard though. If you look at the last level on SP Jazz, you'd see it goes to "Ending" Presumably this is Ending.j2V and the only known way is to make
a .flc file [using Animation Shop etc] and using the flc -> j2v converter. However it's very buggy. :/

Where can you download this flc->j2v converter?

the "ending" thingy doesn't work with levels that are started from the homecooked list.
and there's no way to put films between levels...
Check the Lost World episode to see how I solved the problem (by no means an ideal solution though)...

It would be possible to have someone watch a .j2v file and then go back to the home cooked levels list to select the next level.

Or they could be at the end of each episode in a level pack.

No one's told me where to get the flc-j2v converter!

It needs to be made in a specific format, size and color depth. I do not think anyone has made it actually work correctly since no one seems to have the tool to make the files.

This converter is on Haze's Hideout. I want to make some J2V's in my JJ2 add-on. I suppose that they will work like in JJ1 - you can see a movie, then go to highscore, and after signing to it you play the next episode (but there was no "First complete the previous episode" in JJ1...). Anyway - if you won't try, you won't know!
