I got Jazz1 finally onto my computer.
I get the typicall runtime error, then try using moslo (moslo /2o) and I still get the runtime error.
Then I try moslo /90 a few times and I finally get Jazz1 to start and the music working (thank god my sound card is compatiable!) then I get dumped back to dos with a run time error.

Operating system: Windows ME
Dell computer
CPU: Pentium4

Get TPPatch, is better than Moslo, you can get TPPPatch at Haze's site

You don't read the articles section, do you? ;-P

TPPatch is available right on J2O as well (I uploaded it when I wrote that article, and there is a link to it right in the article).

You need to explain it a little better. How doesn't it work? Did you try applying the patch and you couldn't get the patch applied? Or did the patch apply fine, and JJ1 still has the runtime error?

Also, what version of JJ1 is it? (CD full version, shareware, HH, etc.)

Use a computer that is compatible with Jazz1 :)
My good ole' 486-DX33 does it fine. By the way, i gave up trying to run old DOS games on modern PCs a long time ago. The feeling isn't authentic anyways.

once I get a computer thats compadiable with jazz;p I dont like to use my dads, his is p2 and jazz1 works on it but his sound card isnt compatiable with jazz.

If I patch jazz.exe with moslo about 20 times, I can get it to work.
Too many glitches in windows and supercomputers tho:(

Moslo isn't a patch. It is more like a "wrapper". It "wraps" your program in slowness for the duration that it is running.

But anyways, did you try TPPatch?

I can't play JJ1 on my 19-inch monitor because it hurts my eyes (same with JJ2 full screen). My other computer (17-inch monitor) is perfect, so I play JJ1 on there. But I really wish JJ2 would have higher resolutions than 640x480.

"Doesn't work" does not help at all!

EXPLAIN how it doesn't work! Explain what you did, what messages you got, where it crashes, EXACTLY what doesn't work!

I did what it said; put the file in my jazz1 folder and in dos prompt typed "tppatch Jazz.exe"
And then it displayed a message in dutch.

What version of JJ1 do you have?

If you have the full version (CD), you have to patch "file0001.exe". So "tppatch file0001.exe"

If you have the shareware version (or Holiday Hare), you patch "jazz.exe".

Maybe copy and paste the dutch message here, and then someone who speaks dutch can translate it.

Überprüfe die Datei ...Datei ist ok.
Die Datei wird jetzt gepatcht...file0001.exe kann nicht gepatcht werden.

That is in duch, right? If someone could translate, that would be great.

Man! Some people really know nothing about computers. Can't someone just send Roseta the TPPatched file?

Nobody: that's german, not dutch. Of course that little program was made by a super 1337 german coder :-)

"Überprüfe die Datei ...Datei ist ok.
Die Datei wird jetzt gepatcht...file0001.exe kann nicht gepatcht werden. "

Translation:
"Checking file...file is ok.
Patching the file...file0001.exe can not be patched!"

Seems like there is something wrong. Maybe you should let someone else patch it for you, like Overlord said.

Whenever I want to play an old DOS game, I go to my cousin's house. He has a 486 running DOS only, a Windows 3.1, and the useless pile of crud Windows ME machine. :)

Yes, could someone send me the tppatched file0001.exe? (CD version)

ThanX!

Roseta, just drag Jazz.exe onto the patch. That should work.
