For some reason, I can only play .j2b files for music. If I try to use a .mod, .s3m, etc. file, I just get silence.

My windows version is windows 2000, my sound card is soundblaster awe64, and my jazz version is 1.22.

Note: I can play mods with modplugplayer just fine, it's just in jj2 I have problems.

Hmm Soundcard shouldn't be your problem. I got the same and it works fine. Try patching it to 1.23? Or try setting jj2 volume?

Don't forget that for custom music, you must include the file extension (song.mod would be right, song would not) in the JCS Level Properties box.

I think my problem would probably be I need to patch it to 1.23. Does anyone know where the patch is?

Do you remember the "Visit www.jazzjackrabbit.com for more information." text when a server stops?
