My only thought is that the group of people who are planning to "destroy" us will attempt to hack the various jj2 websites and DoS attack servers (causing them to freeze). That's not exactly a good thing, but we must keep in mind that the group of people plotting to do this are not exactly the kinds of people to be afriad of. Also, a lot of their "members" have gone in just for the heck of it. I doubt people like ShadowGPW (who people claim joined it) wants to do anything besides laugh.

On a serious note this should not be taken seriously, because it sounds like a lot of twelve-or-so year olds being the bad "internet people" all excited because they think they're like big and evil or something (The guy's talk is a riot) This should be taken for granted and probably mocked severely. Jazz 2 and its "followers" have witnessed a number of other although more effective equally laughable hacking experiences which you may remember:

Our favorites, JHACKER and RAVEN, from the "Cult of the Dead Cow" who appeared and "terrorized" the Jazz2 City message board, however that was possible.

Someone deleted Jazz2 City, but that wasn't funny,

However the dumb arguments about calling people like this "haxors" or script kiddies instead of hackers was,
so was talking about how they were going to "go to jail" if they were caught, for bothering a minimally essential message board thing.

People have always claimed to have been hacked by similarly juvenile members of the boards in some ridculous way, like somehow they were given a worm. These folks would post about it and somehow recieve a number of replies. This is worse than being scared of being 'cloned'.

Some folks would mess up threads with java and be called hackers.

Don't forget about a scare about jazz2 'viruses' which I had missed but I'm sure it was pretty silly.

Spazzyman: was banned before he had a chance to cause any more trouble

A program (with a noname) to see who is in a server that leaves too quick to be banned

Jazz2 Tool: SOMEONE please tell me the EXACT code for this program so I can ban it!

It seems likely that the list servers going down at the same time as all this hoopla is just a coincidence and that the list servers will be back up within the next few days. If someone actually made a DoS attack against the list servers, the people in possession of the list server program can make backups, I presume. In the meantime Spotty's server at IP 64.180.240.46 will be up all of tonight (RIGHT, Spotty? :p), and there will be other servers tomorrow (it might be a good idea for people hosting servers to post their IPs on the messageboard while the list server is still down-heck, I'll make a thread for it).

In any case, it's not really anything to worry about. I must agree with Rocky...It's silly to take pranks like this seriously. There are a lot of competent, capable people in this community: take the J20 staff, for example. They regularly backup J20 and the site would be backed up in no time if the web server was hacked. So don't worry, be happy-go play some JJ2. :)
