"Slide" event

Is there anyone who can tell me how the "Slide" event works?

If it does what I think it does it could be very usefull for a level of mine...

Last time I tried it it did the exact opposite of what the name suggested... it increased friction on the corresponding tile.

That was back when I was still running 1.20.
I just tried it again, and it no longer appears to do anything.

Slide did increase friction a tad, but no longer with 1.23.

I used to think it made Jazz/Spaz slide when stopping, like in Jazz 1 on ice, but it does zilch.:(
