If you put Someone's Ingame name in your banlist
Do you have to put the Special chars in it too color etc

and where do you put it exactly and then he Cant join you'r server Again right?

unless he change's name and ip,

What's Jazztool's Exactly name?
and what should you put in with that Noname Program?

Yes the special chars need to be special... and the color symbol (pipe key) needs to be there too, but even then this doesn't really help because the person can just change his nick

Yes you either write the name or the IP address in banlist.lst and the guy is banned. (im not very sure i understood ur question)

The Exact Name of Jazztool (Excluding Quotes) = "|Jazz|To|ol 1.2 §9". Note there are 3 spaces after "1.2"

That depends on the program... for the Noname that I see most commonly, the name is "§" without quotes.

Better yet, just grab the persons IP and replace the last number of it with a * character.

This won't really work for most of them using dynamic IPs... my old computer for example :P sometimes the IP is like 202.164.53.87 (example) and then it could change to 203.72.46.104

err... well... I don think thats currently possible, but even if it is possible, its not very feasible

1) Yea... lots of people might get banned
2) Sometimes when a client changes IP a few times, it might come out of that range
3) In the case with my old computer, the first number changed! So lets say you could ban 20*.***.***.*** then err... 4% of people playing JJ2 will be banned...

For names: Only A-Z are used for checking, the other characters are ignored

ALL OF THOSE OTHER CHARACTER DO NOT MATTER IN THE Banlist.txt!

So, to ban Jazz too you can say JazzTool and that is all.

Now we're at it. I'm wondering if it's possible to ban people by hostname. Anyone?

*Added to Jazz 2 Mutation list - an option to instantly kick/ban people with certain IP/Name when they join the server*
