View Full Version : What new boss would you like in JJ2?

If Epic would make another JJ2 add-on, what new bosses would they add? How powerful should they be? What would be their attacks? For example, I would like to fight a Jazz's Robot Clone, like in Sonic Advance. It would use all attacks and a blaster, and in second form, it would rage and use all weapon kinds. That would be cool.

Yeh yeh, kinda like the Giant Dark Jazz in Episode 6 of JJ1?
'Cept robotic.

Spiffular idea. 'Twas mine until you had it.

Hmm...
I would kind of like them to get Rocket Turtle to properly function and make it into an interesting bot.

Maybe another kind of Devan. Maybe in a space ship, like in Medivo of JJ1. Or a giant fish for water levels. He could chomp forward super-fast, like the normal fish, and spit huge rows of spike teeth.

Stiletto, if you think Jazz has no future, what the *beep* are you doing in this forum then?
Just imagining how Jazz2 could be expanded can also be fun.

Some kind of dragon would be cool ;)

I agree with getting the rocket turtle, and also I would like to see what fighting the tweedle boss would be like. He sounds interesting.

But new bosses, eh? Hmmm...

There's one thing I'd like to see in JJ2.

All the current bosses are the same size as Jazz (pretty much, a little bigger or a little smaller is it.) And I'd like to actually see a boss that's bigger that Jazz.

How about this:

Name: Warbot or something
Size: I don't know, something like 4 times as big as Jazz. Bigger is better.
Attacks: I don't really know, something like 2 rocket launchers, two guns that shoot, etc.
Abilities/equipment: has a jetpack(so he can fly)
How to beat him: He's kind of like a piece by piece boss. First you blow up his legs, then his arms, then his rocket launchers, then his jetpack. After that, he could be defenseless(so you can kill him easily) or unleash a fury attack that just makes him harder than he was with all his appendages. You finish him off by blowing up his body.
Appearence: Large, grey, looks a little like something from MechWarrior.

What do you think?

Que Passa!!!!

ZOOOOOOOOONIIIIIIIIIIIIK!!! HE MUST BE INCLUDED! You cannot RESIST the coolness that is Zoonik...

Oh, and I did create one boss a long time ago: "Traffic bot". A light on his head switches between Red, Yellow, and Green, and during the time he's one color, he can only be hurt by the rabbit of the same color. Jazz for green, Spaz for red, and Lori for yellow.

Okay here is some more info on my buttstopm boss. Okay he is an upright standing turtle with a ray gun. He runs fast and hides in his shell when you shoot him. He leaps into the air and buttstomps down really fast onto Jazz/Spaz, this is the one of the only times you can get a shot at him. The only other time is when he stands still and shoot either a laser or homing missiles. When he is killed he flies out of his shell, (which falls to the ground) hits the nearest wall and falls to the ground. Jazz/Spaz walks over and kicks him away. Well if you want you can skip the kick it just sounds cool. There you have it, I call him: The Stompion. :)

Reminds me ending of episode 3 in Jazz1. :p

Maybe a boss like on Deckstar would be cool in Jazz2? Or a giant flying computer? But I still think that robotic clone would rule!

Here's my idea on how Tweedle could be done. (Fantasizing is fun!)

NAME: Tweedle (duh)
LOOKS LIKE: Freeze a Tweedle event and pause a split second after it thaws to see what it looks like.
STRATEGY HE USES: Jumps around, Bubba style, and occasionally stomps the ground, sending shockwaves in both directions. The shockwaves deal two hearts of damage, and you're stunned if you're on the ground when Tweedle lands, meaning you're almost certainly gonna get hurt. When his life is halfway down, he splits himself into clones (get it? Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum...ah never mind). They both act like the original Tweedle, but go much faster. Take out half of the remaining power to kill one clone. Now the remaining Tweedle goes MUCH faster, and is basically a killer. At this final phase (remaining Tweedle would have a quarter of a lifebar left), demonic chesire cats rise from below the ground, and hurt you in addition to the attacks of Tweedle himself. Take out his remaining life and he's FINALLY defeated.

Here's a boss that could additionally work with Robot Devan boss, but can be used standalone too:

NAME: Power Core
LOOKS LIKE: Two large pillars from both floor and roof. Two giant cannons attached to the front and back of the bottom pillar. Between the pillars is a large diamond shaped energy.
STRATEGY IT USES: The trick is, the power core is COMPLETELY invincible to conventional attacks. The lasers the cannons shoot reflect off walls and are basically homing. Lure the lasers into the weak point of the core to damage it, and eventually defeat it. If Robot Devan is being used, text will be displayed and he will warp away.

'Nother boss!

NAME: Rock Gargoyle
LOOKS LIKE: Picture a gargoyle looking like Devil Devan second phase completely stony textured with a green gem in the forehead.
STRATEGY: It flies around slowly, shooting Bilsy style homing fireballs. Occasionally it lands and flaps its wings quickly, sending tornadoes at J/S/L. The green gem is the gargoyle's only weak point. Also, sometimes the gargoyle flies offscreen and returns, slamming the ground, and destroys one masked tile it lands on (so place warps or hurts below). Destroy the gem, and the gargoyle falls apart and dies.

Phew! That took a while to type out! Enjoy it. :p

I don't really like the tweedles idea. The devan thing sounds okay, but maybe it shouldn't look like devan (theres already a devan boss), it would look okay as one of the Medivio gargoyles than it could also be used as a Medivo Boss. It could be like you see a normal Medivo gargoyle sitting there, then suddenly it comes to life and the green gem apears on its head. Well I don't want to be telling you how your boss acts just thought I would add my idea! :D

Here's some ideas of mine:

Craterock Reactor Core: On the planet Craterock, the home of the race of yellow lizards recruited by Devan Shell, the turtles have changed the beautiful green planet into a giant turtle military base. The base is powered by a giant reactor core deep inside the planet. Destroy the core to shut the base down. The core is a massive white-hot machine that spews dozens of flaming embers in all directions. The machine is only vulnerable when it is cooled far below operating temperature. Hit it with the freezethrower and then fire electro-blaster shots at it before the freeze effect wears out. You will need to do this many times to destroy the reactor core.

Uberturtle: The Uberturtle is a gigantic mutant turtle that was developed by Devan Shell to be the ultimate soldier. The Uberturtle is pretty basic. He will run around trying to stomp you. Just avoid his stomp and fill him full of holes until he expires.

YAY IM SO ORGINAL:

Alien boss: You see a UFO that looks like a cup of tea with a green martian with bl33p ears in it. He will shoot Gamma-Beams, and say something liek "#_&$#_%##$#$%#(!%)&%!%!" If you defeat him.

Evil Santa Claus: This one is a evil clone of the real evil one. He's the same as the first, but he haves red eyes. He can shoot a gift-blaster and sometimes some evil rendeers with red noses fall down. The rendeers are the same as the rocks of the Queen Bozz.

I really like that idea. It would be especially spiffy in multiplayer co-op.

I'm sure that this has been said before, but a Jazz boss. Like the MCEs except less buggy. And maybe they could fix some bugs in bosses that make them ultra-ultra easy to beat to provide more of a challenge.

This new boss would be

A Silver Giant Rabbit Robot with 3 Holes on each side and every 30 seconds or the player gets near it...It will shoot 3 Jazz weapons,1 Devan pistol shot, one Dragon Devan fireball and a laser if you hurt him 5 times a Giant Hole will open in the Center of it's body and shoot a Giant Color Changing Super Laser and when it's killed it will make a HUGE EXPLOSION JUST COVERING THE LEVEL and Jazz will dissapear and Next Level

:)

Neft. What I'D like to see is something from OMF brought into the JJ2 universe. Scaled down to Jazz's size, of course. I'd like to see how Jazz would cope against a Shadow, or a Gargoyle. Or... <eg> ... the Nova!

For example:

Name: Nova
Size: One and a half times the size of the Jackrabbits
Attacks: Standard punch, kick, plus arm-mounted rocket-launchers and mini-grenade launchers
Abilities/equipment: A hecka-lot of armour, plus the Earthquake Smash special ability
How to beat him: With extreme hand-eye coordination. Dodge all of his attacks and go at it with gun(s) blazing. Keep attacking until he falls.
Appearance: Black, red, and gold. In correspondence to OMF: Colour 1 is black; Colour 2 is red; and Colour 3 is gold.

Name: Shadow
Size: Approximately the same size as, or slightly larger than, the Jackrabbits
Attacks: Standard punch and kick
Abilities/equipment: All Shadow maneuvers (Punch, Slide, Dive, Grab)
How to beat him: The same way you beat the Nova. Dodge everything and simply hammer away at his armour. When his armour's gone, so is he.
Appearance: Black, aqua, and cyan. I can't remember what the correspondence to OMF is.

UUWAAAA

Blackraptor
Dec 22, 2002, 10:55 AM
Name: Firebird
Descirption: Basically the raven enemy on fire, it glows yellow and orange and would be fit in the inferno tileset.
Power: Flies around like the raven everywhere, occasionally dives and does 1 heart damage. Shoots down 3 fireballs, 1 to the bottom left, another directly down, and another to the bottom right. Fireballs do 2 heart damage and are only shot out when the firebird is buttstomped, or randomly. The firebird also shoots out a BIG fireball, 2x2 tiles, straight down, causing 2 heart damage. The firebird only does this when jazz is standing directly below it. Other than that, the firebird flies around erratically around the arena causing 1 heart damage if hitting jazz. When the firebird is defeated, it does a loud squawk and explodes shattering into peices. Note: 2 firebirds can be fought at once and considered as 1 boss, meaning you have to kill both to win. Cool eh;)

This Lori is big, she looks like the Lori in HARD difficulty. She is invincible, you must destroy the Devan's vehicle. Devan is in it, and actuate Lori. But Lori interrupt you.

This sounds like ripped from "Another Crisis on Carrotus" story, except that in your idea Lori is huge. Anyway, I think that Spaz would be more dangerous, because he is more crazy and can do double jump. That's why I created X-2, who for now is only an image character (I only draw artworks with him). X-2 is a Mecha Spaz who has pink fur and totally red eyes. Normally he looks like a rabbit - but under the skin he is a bunch of newest machiny-geeky-stuff.
