Yay Kejero. That all looks so awesome. Totally realistic.
I am astounded.

That looks.. great. Except for the plants. The plants need work. And the little animals. But everything else is amazing. Very realisticish.

I have 3 things to say:
COOL!!
Hurry Up!
Great tilesets!

Sep 17, 2002, 03:12 PM
please make it tsf compatible.

Sep 17, 2002, 03:34 PM
No.
Make it 1.23 compatible. :p
Not many use TSF.

Sep 17, 2002, 06:29 PM
I realize many only have jj2. but tsf needs some additional levels too. I know many of you just dont like tsf because you dont have it. but tsf in my opinion is better than jj2 and needs some more levels.
Violet CLM
Sep 17, 2002, 08:11 PM
Yes, anything done in 1.23 can be run in TSF.
Trafton AT
Sep 17, 2002, 08:17 PM
Exactly.
It's hard to make a level not TSF-compliant. :p
Great-looking. I hope atmosphere and gameplay will be as good. :p

Yay, Kejero posted! ;)
Now, triptothane, you claim that TSF is better. Now, while it may have a few minor advantages, 1.23 is more widely available. Besides, 1.24's JCS is way slow on my comp :p , and you say that "there aren't enough TSF lvls out there" , well, you're saying that instead of making our levels in 1.23 when both versions can run it, we should make them all in 1.24 so only TSF owners can play it. Is that what you're saying?
If Kejero or anyone else that made a killer levelpack did that, it would not be near as popular.
In short, no one will listen to you to make the pack in TSF only. So don't bother suggesting.
EDIT: The above has been edited b/c it was, according to Trafton, almost a personal attack. I did not mean to insult or attack triptothane, I simply meant what I changed it to above. Any mental illnesses you have have suffered from reading this edit message are purely speculation.

I think we also can agree on that TSF is better. However, you are able to run every single level on J2O with TSF! So don't worry..

Hey that jungle tileset looks sweeeeeeet. Only problem is that its a bit too realistic at places. Mixing cartoony game characters with photorealism dont look too good at times, but other than that I'm very curious to see how this turns out ;)

Can't wait for it to be finished. But I do hope that the Jungle tileset is improved before release, parts are too realistic (But I like the sunset), while others are very cartoony (I don't like the plants or the snake.) A little touching up should solve this.

Err, honestly I dont think there should be spent more work in the Tileset, its very nice like it is now. The palm tree on picture 6 was the only thing I didnt like. It looks kinda fuzzy.

Yup, that palmtree has been enhanced (the screenshots are already a bit dated) as have some other things

Yay! More than one tomb. Can you please include a prehistoric landscape, please? I NEED A PREHISTORIC LANDSCAPE.......if it isnt to hard. Well, anyways you will likely get a 9.7 from me. (I dont really rate 10 anymore). Keep at it

It's going to be interesting with BlurredD, Kejero, and EvilMike all releasing level packs. I wonder who will win, or will Overlord remain the maker of the #1 level pack? ;)

If you're talking about saving, most of Tomb Rabbit 1 did not allow saving.

Some new work has been done since my last update, and here (users.skynet.be/kejero/tombrabbit2) ye can finally see a bit of result of that... They may look a little different from the previous screenshots... But don't worry, I'm aware of that :p

@Blackraptor
Can't say - Hoping it'll be this summer, but it all depends on many things... Like other projects I'm working on, and whether I'll find a real job when I'm graduated and such...
Can't give any status either - I occasionally throw away stuff and rebuild whole tilesets and levels...
When it's done eh... ;)

Seems like you adapted some kind of "Yoshi's Island" drawing style.
Kejero
Apr 7, 2003, 12:40 PM
Yup, some levels and tilesets are inspired by several Nintendo games -- Yoshi's Island (SNES), Wario Land 4 (Advance), Klonoa (Advance), the Donkey Kong Country trilogy (SNES).....

I think they looked pretty cool. I like the idea of different artistic styles... realistic tilesets mixed with somewhat more abstract colorful ones...

I don't see anything wrong with TSF, since it is better than 1.23, it's just sad that 1.23 can't play TSF levels. So make it 1.23(which you probably will already) because TSF can handle 1.23 levels.
Also, I like the style of the pack so far, since the tilesets are all different which adds to the fun of the pack. I hope to see TR2 out this year and I will definately download it.

The Tomb Rabbit 2 website has been fully redesigned and I've added another 3 more screenies...
The development progress is good for the moment, and Summer 2003 may still be an achievable release 'date' :)
