Biiiiiiig-O! It's SHOWTIME!
(blink blink blink)CAST IN THE NAME OF GOD. YE NOT GUILTY.
(in the american version it would say GOOD, but japanese said GOD and had a lot of stuff about God in it. strange)

Big-O is so sucky it's not even funny. It's a huge ripoff of Batman and the giant mech genre, and there're so many cooler shows that haven't gotten on Toonami yet...

Yes, it happens to take several aspects of Batman and various other shows that feature a kind of genius. Big-O, however, has at least two meanings for events in each episode. There's a story for the people who go only as far as to see the action and the blunt side of the storyline. The other side of the storyline is symbolic, and has very deep meanings. People who enjoy looking for hidden meanings and last-minute shockers may enjoy this anime.
I really enjoy last-minute shockers. Has anyone seen The Sixth Sense? You don't know the answer to the main question stated in the beginning until the very end, and it smacks you right in the face when it does. I won't spoil what happens in it for those who haven't seen it, but for those who have, you'll know what I'm talking about. ;-P

i agree with derby.
Such as the character "angel" who takes off her shirt to reveal two scars where wings would be on an angel.
Also, it has a lot of God stuff in it. A lot of symbols. I only wish they hadn't stopped.
Dino, I've read many anime people who can't stand it. Truth is, it isn't that common sort of anime. It is, however anime. It also had manga too. Or still does, rather.
A rip-off of batman? Haven't you heard? One of the teams worked on batman's art and stuff. http://jazz2.nagcentral.com/forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

also, I find it interesting that the japanese one said "CAST IN THE NAME OF GOD. YE NOT GUILTY" insted of GOOD like the american version. I've read that the japanese version had a good bit about God in it.
There is one episode called DaemonSeed. In it, it is christmas, or "Heaven's Day". It shows an old torn down church and talks about the old men going there to sing praises to some unknown God. And in the japanese version, it talks about Heaven's Day being to remember God's son or something like that.
