.When you join the community, post a thread on jcf saying that you joined, or another simmulair populair form.
.If everyone ignores you repeat your phrase or question 5 times till you get a reply, Leave a gap between messages until your message is gone off the screen, Ignore them back, leave the server or say something so people will realise your there
.If you swear once a word other than (-) or say it more than once, you will be ignored for 2 or 3 days unless you continue the above repeat-the-question way for the rest of your jazz life; if you swear alot when your new then quit it then you wont have many friends for over a year
.Dont start a clan, atleast 70% of jazzers belive that there are too many clans on jazz2 already and that noone will join
.Make sure the clan you join (if you join one) has a nice clan website that you like, otherwise dont join it, and make sure you are friends with all the leader(s)
.Never insult any jazz2 player for anything, unless everyone else agrees its that bad, if its a populair person then insult them if you dare
.Have the same attitude as everyone else and they will love you, even if your faking it
.Dont cyber with anyone on jazz2
.Remember that there is 98% chance that you will have atleast one person who likes you no matter what you do
.Dont spam
.Get the ip of anyone who insults anyone for no reason
.Disconnect and reconnect 3 times if someone threatens to hack anyone
Got anymore? You can post them here.
I disagree with all Spaztic's points.
These are just from my experience.

Well, some of the points are true, but nobody's going to read them.
Or follow them.
Or anything.
So,this thread is actually kinda useless.
DerSproedel also didn't do anything like this, and he already is a well-known member here.
Oh,yeah,do I have to mention I disagree with the"Don't spam"?:D

Most of this can be reduced to "be nice to other people in the community". Really, it be may be a bit simplistic, but it works in most cases. There's isn't actually such a thing as being "successful" here. Just try to get along with most people by not annoying or insulting them (or at least only on rare occasions), and try to act at least a bit mature.

Look Roseta Ive been watching you the last days and I came to the following conclusion, do you want any attention or so? Do you expect us to say: "Wow, it is Roseta"? You say people hate you etc. but everyone hates someone, not only you. So your also just a simple person like everybody els. Sorry this was a bit off-topic but some signs in your thread post are very familiar to stuff what you have done...

-People who worship me are trustworthy
-Look oneway before crossing the street
-If there is a keep out sign, it means the opposite
-Always kick people with kick me signs
-Play Jazz 2 while driving your car on a highway

See how useful those tips are

Que Passa!!!!
Actually, I only disagree with the first point. Why? -Experiance.
Those of you who are old enough to remeber back when I was a cute little babbling newbie know that my very first post was in fact, the start of a war tavern story: "The story of Devan Shell" in which, I shed a little light on Devans pre-villian past. The first responce to this, if I remember correctly, was Ducky identifying me as a newbie and welcoming me, and... well... THAT was IT! I never posted an "I'm new" thread, and I'm just as respectable a member as any of you.
That is not to say that an "I'm new" thread is not a good idea: just that it is unnessisary. Some people might feel satisfied just silently being here- without announcing their presence. I was one of them.
And as for that attitude thing, well, I'm not really sure if I remember correctly: did I come in with it, or did it develope over time?

How to be successful as a member of the Jazz2 Community:
1: act normal.
2: don't post useless stuff, or make useless/weak jokes (I've seen this alot!)
3: respect others.
4: don't think of Jazz2 as a world to conquer..*sigh*
5: stop creating a million clans and alliances. This is Jazz, not the military division.
6: stop trying to be liked. People trying to be liked and populair are nothing more but whiny little kids who are afraid of not getting any attention. -->read rule no. 1 again.
THIS is the list of succes :D

There is only one way to be a successful JJ2 member, dedication
(I didn't think a period there was appropriate, it would take away the meaning of the word, and I don't feel like messing with HTML right now, so no period. Oops, I almost just put 2 periods.)

I also disagree with the first one.
I was kind of like Batty Buddy. I started looking at the forum a lot, but I didn't join for a while. I looked at stories, games, and other stuff, until I joined. I didn't post any "I'm new" thread or anything when I joined. I think my first post was on 4I Falcon's war tavern story, "Boing, boing, boing, boing". It was:
more!
more! More! More! More!
MORE!!!
heh, :p
also, if there's any room, I'd like to be in the story.
Does that look like a "I'm new" thread?:D

I wish Splash's list was really how to be successful..unfoctunatly I tried those and they dont work well for me, mabye thats just just for me they dont work for though.
Diffirent people have their own ways of being normal. I have seen 2 done alot, and everyone seems to enjoy it, not disrespect it; other than myself who rarley does it.

Also for some serious advice: my first posts were very dumb. (my bro gave me a heads up, ain't he just so cruel?) They were trying to be humorous but failed and my posts were out of place, but then I discovered a secret: killing yourself. Thats right, when you kill yourself in your posts you A), spare yourself the embarasment of whatever the rest of your post might have said and B), are actually humorous sometimes(trust me, I came up with some pretty creative ways to die) plus C), you save yourself a good deal of typing.
Heres an example:
Yes I totaly agree with everything Roseta just said. As a matter of fact she has now officially become my role model. Thank you for saving new-bies everywhere! Your post was so comforting.
My favorite part of your post was when you said;"If everyone ignores you repeat your phrase or question 5 times till you get a reply, Leave a gap between messages until your message is gone off the screen..."*dies*
Normally you could come up with something more creative, and/or fitting, but thats just an example. Later my posts improved and now they are fine and normal(Or actualy quite wacky, but the deffinition of normal changes depending on the community:p )
Also end the post after you die or seriously injure yourself <u>in your post</u>. Hope this helps.

<s>I post this as I am banned from #jj2 for a while for doing absolutely nothing but asking to be kicked. Protection box methinks?</s>
JJ2 has it's ops, which can get mad for various reasons, mostly unsimilar to the J2O and JCF's. I meant nothing bad about #jj2. SpiffyJuice is great, too.

Though I agree with some points, a note to everone. Please ignore this topic, if you follow Roseta's way of 'being a succesful member of the jazz2 community' you'll probably become just as unpopular as she is. What I'm saying is that it's not a good idea to listen to someone about 'how to be succesful' if she/he him/herself totally screwed up. ;-P No offense.
I followed Roseta's advice on how to be successful member in Jazz2 and now I don't have a job and I live in my parent's basement eating Spaghetti-Os. Rock on.

You are the person you are, your personality dosent need to get changed for "getting a successful member".2: don't post useless stuff, or make useless/weak jokes (I've seen this alot!)Evryone makes faults, aswell as bad jokes.
A joke is a joke, not evryone has the same humor.3: respect others. You should respect other people even you arent a member of the community.4: don't think of Jazz2 as a world to conquer..*sigh*So how will you prove it isent?5: stop creating a million clans and alliances. This is Jazz, not the military division. This is diffinated at newbies, that arent sure on what a clan is.
Instead of hack them down, help them to understand it.6: stop trying to be liked. People trying to be liked and populair are nothing more but whiny little kids who are afraid of not getting any attention. We all dream about getting populair, this is clearly normal for a human.
Who dosen't want to get populair for make a great level pack?
As I see it, its okay try duing things for the community for getting liked and so.
People that dosent get enogh attention, is people who opens "GOODBYE, I LIKED YOU ALL, NOW IM DEAD, SORRY :(" threads.
Evryone needs being populair, being seen, being liked at some point.-->read rule no. 1 again.Okay.THIS is the list of succes :DAfter all, I think you cant make a list of who's succes, but rather a list of how you get unsuccesed.

Hmmm I believe most of these points could be posted on Wakeman's Stuff Archives... But under another name... Hmm... Perhaps...
"How to be Annoying: Part 13"?
"How to Really get annoying, the fast and easy way!"
"Jazz n00bs for Dummies"
 Anyway, most of these points won't really mean much, because, seriously, no offense Roseta, but I don't believe many JJ2 members really are all panicky about getting "hacked" Firewalls work good...
And Umm.... "Don't cyber with anyone on JJ2..." and then you said These are all just from my experience...
???? I don't even want to know...
Anyway, Stilleto, nice job though on the reasons.
