This was on the box of JJ2 Version 1 (yes, the one with the blade gun and JJ1 toaster).

I colored it according to the labels to see what it looked like:

Sooo... Who is he? Where did he come from? He's not in the game...

Que Passa!!!!
Maybe he's Jazz's role model... Or father...
Just a couple of suggestions.

Maybe it's Jazzes and Spazzes trainer of their special moves?

He is either Spaz's first model (highly doubt it though), or maybe he is a commander in the space rabbits police force? ;)

He is a rabbit wearing spandex. What else is there to know?

If this was on the Jazz 2 box, it couldn't possibly be a Jazz GBA reminder. Jazz GBA wasn't even planned back then, or so the developers say.

Um. How exactly did you choose these colors?

Apparently, they came labled. Was it in a coloring book of some sort?
Radium

They were concept sketches. It was labled with colors like "warm gray" with little arrows and scribbley coloring. Some other sketches were things like how to draw jazz, some stuff about jazz's proportions, and some other sketches of the queen, spaz, jazz, and that mystery bunny.

Since the Queen is from the first episode, maybe the Mystery Bunny was featured in one or more of the cutscenes that never were?

i didn't mean that i mean.. That somehow the new team has copied the Ugly dude from box no 1 and used him..

I'm still not sure what you mean.
Do you mean that this guy may be in Jazz for Gameboy Advance?

Thanks, but that's not exactly what I meant. This would be something ideal to POST on the Rumors page!
(BTW, unrelated, but I'm really wondering when both J2C and J2S archives will come online, we've been told that both were being worked on awhile ago, and now it seems to be forgotten. I still haven't seen the final J2S poll results! ARG!)

Hmm.. I thought it might have been Razz (although he is gray), but This (http://web.archive.org/web/20021017200521/http://www.noogy.com/image/gallery/somebluerabbit.jpg) seems to be Razz. The plot thickens...

Here's another shot of him! The picture of the Queen from the bottom left is almost certainly from the unfinished full version intro: the clothes, pose, and setting match up perfectly. The mystery bunny looks just like he does in Radium's shot, but rotated a little; I'm most interested in the upper left rabbit, who is probably Eva (based on the hair) but is wearing something that noticeably is not a dress! There are some little tags next to her, perhaps with color instructions, but they're not legible in the picture.
(Other possibilities, just to be thorough: the upper left rabbit is not actually Eva, but
a) an early design for Lori, given the action pose and rough costume, or
b) a random design for a guest at the wedding, just like our friend the Mystery Bunny, or
c) the Jackrabbits' mother, and the Mystery Bunny is their father, since if Devan is going back in time in order to kill them it would make sense if they were planned at one point to be shown.)

really reminds me of how jazz moves in the GBA game.

I'm also interested in the font used for "The sequel to the 1994 arcade game of the year!". It's also used in the shareware screen (and a bunch of other places) and I've tried to find it before, but to no avail.
Considering the effort Nick Stadler put into the in-game JJ2 font it might as well be custom :(

I don't think Razz has anything to do with this Mystery rabbit whatsoever. They look completely different in both personalities and looks anyway. Razz is much less hunky. Probably was intending to be Jazz/Spazzes father, but never made it to the real screens. In the jj2 cover (which UR posted) he looks more well drawn.

possible a random selected graphic or a first try of Jazz? (remembering Jazz as superhero :D)

It's not impossible, but Jazz's first design had blue goggles, which this guy noticeably doesn't, and besides all the other art looks to be for JJ2.

... I need glasses. I've had that same CD as shown in UR's post and I never noticed the characters in the background of the image.

I will dig around my attic. It should have a huge box with old CDs and CD-Roms of mine.

The female rabbit reminds me of Zoe Cottontail and the Mystery Bunny of 'Agent Jackrabbit'. JJGBA FTW. :D
Oh, and I found an old colored version of one of the other sketches on that cover. I'm not sure from what site it came, I only know it's OLD.

I've seen that image somewhere else as well. Probably a different box of the game. The difference being her hand is not obscured in that version making it clear she's... drumroll... Eva. With a gun of her own.
Probably sketches from toying around with the thought of making her a playable character, before Lori was introduced.

Ha! I'd forgotten about him. Mystery Bunny was intended to be the queen's head of security at the palace. He was supposed to be a boss, but one with advanced AI and would follow you through the entire level.
It was deemed too difficult to create, and even if we were able to pull it off, it would've been to advanced an enemy for such an early level.

His suit looks familiar. At first, I was thinking "earthworm jim", but it looks more like Ace's suit from Space Ace. The crazy low v-neck and the striped undershirt.
