Well, the problem is, Jazz Jackrabbit 2 is an old, underappreciated game. It can't be bought in stores anymore. The best thing you can do is try at Ebay, an auction site. Of course there is illegal copying...

btw has anyone noticed i used that :( in my title for 3 times in a row?

and this is General Jazz Talk, Derby, move this topic plz :D

You misunderstand, JelZe. He's talking about JCS.

JCS comes with the windows version of JJ2, and a TSF version of it (read: levels made with it can't be loaded in the normal version) comes with the TSF version. There is no JCS for Mac.

At least he could have made clear that by putting it in the title!

True, it doesn't. You'll have to get the full version of jj2. I think Aiko has TSF copies, not sure about the regular game. If you want to buy it in a store, go check some toy stores, sometimes they have it left in a dark, forgotten corner...

JCS is one of the major marketing points for Jazz, why would they give the thing away completely for free with the shareware? Then you could edit the shareware levels and edit Jazz to get the full version (not that you can't do that easily enough anyway).

Yes, it is possible to hack the jazz2 shareware and make it 1.23. This should allow you to join some servers. You will not, however, be patched. Trigger zones will not work, there could be certain bugs, and it is likely that certain gametypes will give the game an access violation.

Or you could have someone send you the files. It's really not that hard.

JCS.exe and JCS.ini are all that you need, and together they're only like 700-800kb, even less for TSF. The problem from then is getting the tilesets (which isnt a problem at all), then ofcourse by doing this you're at the wrong side of the law, you bad baaad lil bunny :p

And he's opposed to illegal activities.
