This topic is getting a little melodramatic.

The truth is that JOL is getting to be an old clan, and JOL's longetivity is questionable. It's not a personal attack on anyone when a clan dies, and it shouldn't be considered as so. JOL's needing new members is a sign that it is in danger of death. It happens to almost all clans. Give it some time as an inactive clan and it may resurface, just like Gurus of Proactive Warfare. Also, you should recruit more "day players" that have been joining RR (Rapid Rabbits) lately. They seem to be a hot commodity.

I wish you good luck reviving the clan and hope this doesn't turn into an unnecessarily flame war, but it appears that's the rode it's going down right now.

First of all, we're getting back to flaming.
Second of all, this is for expressing opinion. If you don't want any negative feedback, then there's really no point in posting here.

As for your third point, freindly clan wars are always fun. If you concentrate on only having members and never have any clan events, you'll lose members.

No, I never said that. I said if you think that you can post something and expect to never get any negative replies, then you will be disappointed. The message board is for expressing opinions, not for only positive feedback. After all, we all learn from mistakes.

The administrators aren't as strict as you think. You got content edits, and so did Stiletto. This was because you used swear words in bad context. I'm sure you can express opinions without swearing. As for the mistake part, I meant that if the community has something to say, they can say it, without swears (I'm sure.)

Because all people here are in a clan already. See, all members, e.g. TF got, either asked for joining or have been asked when playing online. This really helps you a lot more.

Exactly. That fued drove me nuts. I had friends in GpW and DM but I was in CC. I didn't want to get in trouble with my clan, but I didn't want to lose my friendship with people like Salamander, who I have known for years. In fact, embarassingly (for Sal), I was his clanleader when he was in his AT days (sr jp cb at.) I had to be undercover about talking with them, and then Wisety really yelled at me for what my clan had done, and I hated it. I can not tell you how glad I was when I heard the news that was over. Clad fueds are terrible, clan wars are proactive and increase the skill and knowledge of those who are in the clan. They aren't as bloodthirsty as they may sound. Heck, at one time, I even hated clan wars.

Clan wars don't make the clan. The members do. Clans don't have to battle, but it's hard to keep members without doing so.

Actually that's not what I was implying. The sentances about clan wars and about how many people were in a clan weren't co-related. Perhaps I should change that to a new paragraph or something.

Btw, Roseta, you can flame and insult all you want but that doesn't change the facts, it'll just give you a temporary hollow satisfaction and some short-lived self-esteem. Swearing? The only way to get attention? Yes, if you want negative attention. Don't swear, it's never necessary.

And I don't really think they should be banned. People pay attention to the administrators and many members (sometimes including me) yet they don't swear. And if they are swearing, don't lower yourself to their level. It's not the one who wins that argument that is truly the winner, it's the one that stops it.

Uh...So the general idea is you completely abandon JJ2 if JOL breaks up? Well, then you will have to abandon it eventually. As for the blocking contact parts: why? Because they remind you of JJ2? I think that's going overboard to say the least.

Well, I must say that quitting JJ2 isn't nearly as extreme as DDL_Klein's "suicide" attempt... :roll: But Roseta, this is about the fifth time you've posted a topic along these lines, (such as "Join JOL!" or "JOL Needs Members!" etc. We all understand here that JOL needs members, but if you haven't noticed, is that all these topics do is atract flaming, and usually end up in utter chaos. As Spaztic, and many others have said, get on with it. No one will join JOL... Well, no "good" members anyway. So you'd be best off trying to join other clans anyway, IF any of them would even let you in.
Another word of advice, don't make pointless "sub-clan" things such as that UPF thing or whatever. No one really is that serious about "keeping peace in JJ2" or whatever. It's a game, nothing more. If you feel the need to make peace in the world, go join the Peace Corp. :lol: And in the end, if you do indeed to still keep JOL going, don't bother posting stuff on JCF about it. You know the kind of responses you'll get.
