This must have been noticed by a lot of people before. But I found out only tonight, so I guess a lot of other people haven't noticed it before either.
Anyway, compare these and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I believe that it was intended. There are a lot of parodies of various pop culture icons in Jazz 2, as subliminal as some of them may be.

The episode with Jazz on the bike is a ripoff of some old rockstar, who posed in the exact same manner on a purple bike, he had the afro and all.
And the Shareware picture is a ripoff of Doom.

I bet the third episode pic is also ripped from somewhere.

My favorite was the one with Jazz dressed as a hippy.
I also at one point made my own eposode titled "Fractured Harey Tales" which had Spaz pointing his gun at a fairy godmother.

Oh, by the way, the artist who made this album is Prince or the Artist Formerly Known as Prince which is why Nick used this since the first episode is called Formerly a Prince.

For those who didn't know almost the entire Jazz Jackrabbit game series is based upon spoofing other well known franchise. Such as games, movies and folklore.
Who didn't notice:
- the similarities between Sonic and Jazz Jackrabbit 1
- the similarities between episode graphics and movie posters
- the levelnames parodying movienames
...and upcoming the Star Wars parody in JazzGBA? (though they've pushed the parody a bit to far there)
Jazz is all about parodies and making fun. That's why I tried keeping that spirit up in the new Hideout. :)

LOL! All this time I thought it was so obvious, but it seems not everyone knew about these clear episode parodies :D Back To The Future Trilogy is IMO one of the best movie serie ever created...
Oh, and while we are at it, did ANYONE notice that the final episode represents Donkey Kong Country, and the demo episode DOOM?

I noticed the Back to the future and Doom ones in a few seconds after I first played Jazz2.

Like SFD, I immediately recognized the Back to the Future and Doom parodies. (What's that face in Devan's torso in the demo pic?) That Artist Formerly Known as Prince parody is a new one on me, though.
Frankly, the Episode 4 pic reminds me of Commander Keen 6, when that one-eyed alien was salting Keen's head. Probably not quite the best reference, but a general idea of sorts. But, the O in "Monkey" has the somewhat-trademark star in the middle, as does "Donkey" in "Donkey Kong."
What's with Commander Keen and his obsession with being called Commander Keen, instead of Captain Keen (Keen 4)? Last time I checked, Captain was a higher rank than Commander. (That's why, when I mentioned to Firefox that I was going to promote him from Captain to Commander at the end of E:JF, he said that doesn't make sense, considering the preceding fact. Well, actually, he went into some long lecture about the ranks on Star Trek, and how Picard ranks higher than Riker, or whoever, blah, blah, something, something else. I wasn't really listening anyway. [Before anyone asks, I scrapped the idea soon after Firefox told me that. Don't expect anything of that sort at the end of E:JF. <_< {shifty eyes}]) Wouldn't it be better to be thought of as a higher rank than you actually are?
TSF is an illustration by Noogy. 'Nuff said. The good Dodrill thought the three Jackrabbits flying high above on their airboards -- especially Spaz, who doesn't look too confident of his balance... -- would make a good cover pic, which is why it was used as both the box design (last I checked, anyway...) and the episode intro. Although, I don't understand what that diamond in Jazz's hand has to do with anything...
Now all we need to find out is where the parody came from for the Flashback episode pic, and then our heads will be even more full of useless knowledge than exactly twenty-four days, six hours, and forty-three seconds ago. Yay. :D
As for Jazz itself being a parody... *cough* Sonic *cough* (Not saying that Sonic is better than Jazz, of course. Jazz beats Sonic on all fronts. After all, I don't see Sonic toting a gun, do you?)
DoH is the end boss of Arkanoid ][. Anyone remember that game?

Well, the main powerup Jazz was collecting in JJ2 WAS diamonds... I just assumed it was one of those.

The diamond is there because the original title for TSF was actually The Diamond Files (or was that The Diamond Edition?)

Eeeh,not that...
1.point:TST was originally been called"Diamond Edition".
Hence the diamond.
2.point:The main goal of JJ2 is eating Devan and getting Eva's diamond back so Devan can't build some weird weapon...(which was later rebuilt and used in CTF it seems... )

Piccy! I thought you KNEW about JJ2! The device is a TIME MACHINE. ;)
41 Falcon: The thing in Devan's torso is a demon. In the DOOM picture the monster's stomach has a hole in it, and thus in the episode picture...hole with demon. :p

Point is that the time machine was NOT destroyed. In the ending movie, Devan got electrocuted (or something) but the time machine wasn't.

Oh.Well...oops?:p
1.Devan gets the hole in the game as well when he transforms to a dragon...
2.The guy in there looks a lot like Bubba or Bilsy to me...
3.My theory is that Devan kinda sold his soul to those guys and they lent him those transform powers...would explain that,ne?^^

Well, Devan didn't just get electricuted, he was also buried in a cave in, and (To add insult to injury) had a stilactite fall on him... I guess we just assume that since he was IN the time machine at the time (No pun intended) that it was crushed as a result...
... Nevertheless, even IF the thing was in a salvigable shape, Devan couldn't power it without the diamond. His time traveling days are over unless he's able to develope a better power source, and considering the beating he took (Remember, In Jazz 1: You never take on Devan Mono a mono like you do in Jazz 2.), I doubt he thinks all that trouble is worth it.

True.. you generally fight some weird creature or Devan in a tanklike thing. Episode 6 ends with a giant Jazz clone, not Devan, and C has Devan in a submarine like thing which is probably the easiest boss in the game.

The easiest boss in JJ1 is IMO some turtle you fight in a bonus level hidden in Diamondus...
You fight it as a...oh...waitasec...I got it...not.:p

The bird is known as Hip-Hop. And I believe the face in Devil Devan's torso in the demo pic is Bubba. (It makes sense, considering Bubba is the demo ep boss). And I think the time machine was destroyed. After all, the thing did explode after Devan got shocked.

Janus, what about Alice in Wonderland?
Don't make me pull up images of the Cheshire cat in JJ2. You know it's there. Not to mention the Mad Hatter and other Alice in Wonderland refrences.
Infact, I say that episode is a direct parody of Alice in Wonderland and a few songs by a few 60's artists. Notably whoever wrote White Rabbit.

I only saw these jazz 2 episode pic rip offs by now..I didn't know they were ripoffs @_@..also, I have played Jazz 2 several times, and beat it several times, in the ending squence, truth is , the machine explodes, and Devan just gets electraucted by Jazz's gun laser, and well..I have played Jazz 1, but never beat it..the last episode is so hard to beat, -_-. plus, I liked Jazz 2 more than Jazz 1 because, in Jazz 1, you could only use Jazz, and in Jazz 2, you can choose from many characters and morph into a bird, frog...and such....and...wait.....what's that CC game? I never heard of it..

Eh I'm sorry, I'm just wondering what you've been smoking.
- Jazz 1 isn't 'worse' cause it doesn't have Spaz. It was actually a better SP game than JJ2.
- The graphics of JJ1 were at low res, less detailed, with a far inferior engine. And it has *better* graphics?
- The music in JJ1 is good but I prefer JJ2's music, it's all up to taste and personal preference.
- They both have rather lame storylines imho but yes JJ1's is better.
- JJ1 was a complete sonic rip off.

jazz 1 had some goodies that didn't appear in jazz 2 (what were they thinking) like the 3d bonus stages (the idea was a ripoff of sonic games, but way better).
jazz2 is a bit lame because it had only 2 movies!!! the "you beat the game" one was pathetic, the intro one is way better, it doesn't even have movies between the chapters!!!
also jazz2tsf isn't really a game, it is more like a cheap mod or "standalone expansion pack", it is only one huge storyless chapter!! it should had been an expansion pack, an addon. (obiously not allowing the standard stages be played with lori).
jazz2 failed because it was dull, they could have added cool elements like the frog of the shareware episode in the retail version, 3d bonus stages, more movies. i don't say that the stages are bad, what i say is that they use the same elements in all stages, you can get tired of that sometimes.
the stages are beatiful, but it is boring to always end the stages by reaching the finish, it worked in super mario games, but it doesn't work anymore, they didn't really innovate from jazz1, although multiplayer support is great goodie.

ARGH! That devil in Devan's hole IS Bubba! Don't you see? Bubba is the boss of Shareware, he is small, with sneaky eyes and pink nose! He is the main bad guy in my Devil Dash Jazz2 add-on and he has to do something with Devan! After being beaten in frozen hell, he uses Devan's body to stay alive. But when Jazz crashes Devan's torso Devan morphs into demon giving some of energy to hidden Bubba. The Bubba escapes and we fight with Devan with a hole in belly (look closely at him as event). Does that story sound clear? (heh, I imagined everything myself but I hope Epic was thinking the same).
BTW if you are talking about episode images - JSZ Spaz once drawed a episode-size drawing called "Spaz Nukem". Look at DN3D cover and imagine you see Spaz and that'll be it. :)
