That is some FIIINE art. :) I've already mentioned the hair to you, but the face looks so bloody good it's not funny.

"Arien - A Maia, chosen by the Valar to guide the vessel of the Sun."

The Silmarillion.

The name was no problem. :)

Be proud of yourself, this is one great picture, and for your age, it's even more amazing. :)

Forget the hair. The rest of it goes WAY BEYOND making up for it.

Ooo... I like the name.

The hair is one of the best things you draw, Wild. That and the massive details in the face. It seriously looks photorealistic to me. I wouldn't be so hard on yourself for the hair. Looks GREAT.

The hair looks a bit ... weaved! IMO if you wanted to go for as realistic as possible, it would be a little bit sharper instead of it having a shadow and fade off. The eye is very nice, but once again in order for her to try realistic it lacks detail and sort of looks like a marble. The lips don't belong, something inside me just whispers that, even before I read what you did with it...

Ah yes, and the snow looks like it's all 2d and doesn't have a 3d feel to it like the rest of the picture.

I like it though... and truthfully I've never seen anybody your age as talented as you.

See, there is one problem about hair--- I use a special brush, otherwise I'd be IMPOSSIBLE or tedious WITH A MOUSE (my wacom pen thingie got lost at the end of the drawing, grrrr.. I dunno where it is) to draw every STRAND of hair. I was going to actually put snowflakes in her hair, sitting in her hair, but I decided against it.

47 layers on the face, 2 solid layers to create a strong base, 45 basically blurring layers to give it extreme smoothness. Heh..

Hmm, you should be able to change the brush or at least get it to where it doesn't fade out at the end... -v-

If it looked sharp at the end it'd look funny. Look at your hair in the mirror. It's easier for me since mine is long, but oh well. Does it just suddenly end or does it sort of fade? Stand a fair distance from the mirror and stare at your hair. You usually can't see the very fine strands near the end.

Unless you have thick hair. Then and again, mine is very very fine and straight.
