And I really don't care. I hate to sound negative or anything but this game is not Jazz. Before, when talking on mIRC I said I didn't really love the look of the game but I would give it a chance. But after watching the newest videos, it having no hyped release, and the crappy characters I'm not going to touch it unless it a rental from Blockbuster.

This christmas, I am getting a GBA, but JJGBA is not on the top of my list (or the bottom). So for those who are going to get it, have fun, it's released tommorow.

P.S. (IMHO, I think if ur going to get a game, go for jjgba if you still like Jazz. btw, sorry for sounding so kiddish and negative  )

Yes, yes, and I'm going to get it. Beggars can't be choosers. It actually looks better than I thought, but then again I didn't have very high expectations.

I do not have a GBA, nor do I ever plan on buying one with my one money, therefore I do not plan on buying the game either. However I would very much like to at least have played it. I dislike the look of Jazz, mainly, and the graphics are fair for GBA, but I will not spend my money on it.

Personally, on a certain level I hope that the game flops. If there is no current interest in Jazz at all, then perhaps we will finally get the god forsaken source code that we were promised long ago. It is sad, but I would rather most of the world were uninterested in this game while we got to customize it and make it by far the greatest side scroller known to date.

Or something.

Amen.

No, that's not sarcastic. I actually agree, the game may flop, and I think it will, actually. The game magazines will write something like "A try from a new developer to give Jazz a new image. Too bad it looks completely different." and everyone will forget it. And we will get the sourcecode, I hope.

(I'll still buy the game anyway :P)

You guys are being far too negative!

What if it sells so poorly and then there will never be a new (good) Jazz game again? There will never be a Jazz 3D!!! I mean, if it sells poorly, and even Jazz diehards don't want to buy it, that sure says something about the WAY too different approach they took to it. But the way the company, and Epic, will likely see it is that Jazz is dead and will never get a new game. They may even think that we don't want the source code either! This game flopping does NOT guarantee we get the source code, but it practically DOES guarantee no new Jazz games ever again.

Is that really what you want? Ofcourse, it's not smart to buy a game of a franchise you like just because it's part of the franchise. No one likes to waste their money, and if the game truely sucks, no one should have to put up with playing it and throwing their money away.

Let me just say this, yahoo! And I thought I was the only person who thought the game was crappy, and so I didn't want to say anything. And man, when I saw the name of this topic I thought I knew what it was going to talk about, well it was a lil correct, but I was mostly wrong.

This game is crap, and let me say I had a GBA until I lost it at school. This is my fault, and I blame no one, but myself. Soon, I will get a new GBA. This game is not even on my holiday list. Now I will explain why.

Ok so the graphics are awesome. But like I always say, I don't care about graphics most of the time. If I did, I would've never gotten into the awesome ZZT trilogy.

Let me say that Jazz looks absolutely nothing like he should. This part pretty much scares me, other than that. What's this new girlfriend, what the heck happened to Eva Earlong. What're they dissing the princess for, I wonder why they bothered to change the storyline.

When I heard that he got married, and it wasn't to Eva Earlong. I was incredibly angry, and I said. This, this is what is the future of jazz? There is no need to be involved then, the storyline has changed and gotten worse.

And whatever happend to Jazz Jackrabbit for Game Boy Color? This game I saw off of Haze's Hideout. At least Jazz looked like he normally does. Other than that, the game is ok. But because of these factors, I refuse to buy the game.

Now there are tons of other games i'd love to get. To name a few: Castlevania-Harmony of Dissonance, Megaman & Zero, Megaman Battle Network 3, even...Pokemon Advance! Golden Sun, and lastly YuGiOh: Eternal Duelist's Soul.

I don't think anyone should be judging the game yet. We've heard, like, 1% of the storyline and saw screenshots\videos of an unfinished game. They're still making changes and that is why it changed from the original November release date.

I'm going to get it, because I have a GBA and I need games for it, and I am a Jazz Jackrabbit fan.

While I agree the whole Jazz makeover, divorce from Eva, and blatant Star Wars ripoffs are lame, I've seen videos of the game and it looks like it'll be smooth just like the original Jazz games, plus multi and single-cart multiplayer isn't too shabby either. Guess we'll all find out tomorrow, eh?

They should have named this game "Green spacerabbit" or something.

I, for one, am looking forward to the game. And I'm not alone. JazzGBA has already gotten some rave previews in the media, all hailing the return of Jazz and especially the multiplayer options.
Needless to say I also don't quite agree with Jazz' sudden makeover. If there ever is to be another sequel you can bet on it I'll be all over it trying to set straight the storyline. Eva should definately come back, as well as Lori. Actually Jazz and Eva's divorce make for some quite hilarious moments...

Zoe: "Who's that?" *points at Eva*
Jazz: "Ah, she's my ex."
Zoe: "YOUR WHAT?!?" ;)

Hey, I didn't say I didn't like the game! Maybe it will even be great :P Just that it would be cool if it flopped and we got the JJ2 source code. Okay, JJ3D would also be cool :P

Whilst I really, REALLY dislike the changes they've made to Jazz, I'm hoping this game can generate enough of a reason for a Jazz sequel. Not a lame sequel like this GBA game, but one like the JJ3 that never was - a non messed up storyline, Jazz not trying to impersonate Han Solo etc.

Lance - Not quite sure what you mean there, but assumming I'm interpreting it correctly you're saying that the original creator still think's it's Jazz right?

CliffyB is the CO-creator of Jazz - there was Arjan Brussee, and then Jazz's looks were done by Nick Stadler. So whilst he is ONE of the creators, we can't really say his other creators would be so happy unless they state otherwise. :p
Plus, CliffyB doesn't always know what he's doing - take Curse3 for example. ;)
